Would you guys be willing to take pictures of the kinds of meat you guys get, preferably in the package that clearly labels what you got?
I'm in the planning stage of switching my ferret and am wondering what kinds of meat to get. I've read a lot of stuff on here about the different kinds of animals and specific organs, but I'd really like that visual so I know what I'm looking for at the grocery store/ethnic market.
I'm also planning on looking for bulk supplies, so any info on that is great, but it's a little bit in the future for me so not much of a priority. I may make a new thread when the time arises.
Anyway, more info on what EXACTLY I should be looking for at the store would be great. Maybe you can tell, I'm not the cook in my family and I almost never go shopping for meat, so (in preparation to switching my fuzz butt) I end up staring at the meat section confused as to what I'm looking for.
Thanks

Part of it depends on where you live, packaging isn't the same everywhere, not to mention the kidneys I get are from a butcher and don't have any labels on them. A couple of things to keep in mind is that it is cheaper to buy a whole chicken or duck and take it apart and portion it out vs a bag of chicken wings. When you are looking for things like beef or pork, you can almost always find good fatty cuts in the sale section of meat. I end up getting stew beef, sirloin, and pork t bones for pretty good prices. Hearts and liver can be in some weird places, you're probably better to call the stores around you and ask if they have those items so you don't make a ton of trips to different places and find nothing. There is a store near me that I was able to call and have them order me in a 30 lb box of turkey necks. Calling around first is my best advice.

From Asian store in my area---in frozen section If you find quail at grocery store, make sure it is all natural. No spices, maltodextrin or anything, just the plain bird. Same for everything. It is sad that they r adding so much stuff to our foods.
