So I used to have a small rice box for my ferrets. None of them really seemed too interested in it, so I eventually got rid of the rice. Yesterday I was trying to decide what else to do. I saw several different things on play sand, soil, leaves, ect. I saw this kid sand box at Walmart. It was on sale from forty dollars to fifteen, so I got it for them. Then I got some play sand for them. I put both bags of play sand in it, and they were fifty pounds each. I got it a little wet so that it was at least a little harder to fling the sand out of the box. The only two who don't really show much interest in it are Naomi and Orion, but I still saw them digging and playing a few times. The others absolutely love the new sand box! It was a great idea to give it a try. They have a blast digging around in it and attempting to make tunnels. This is it when it has the cover on. It's a turtle. This is the sand with it. The sand is a little bit wet, but not completely soaked. I just got two fifty pound bags of play sand at Lowes for them.

My girls love their sand box as well! I don't have enough space for an awesome big turtle though, Just a big rubbermaid tote with a hole cut in the lid

I'm scared to try anything else. I made a dig box made of rice and all my guys LOVED it. I could put toys under the rice and they would dig them up. Well they started to use it as a litter box and so didn't my cats. So that came to an end real fast haha. I think I might try beans next time or balls for a ball pit.

I have a ball pit (it was sold in walmart as a toddler ball pit) and my girls didn't play in it like I expected them to, instead of romping around in the balls they stashed them all throughout the house! so now we have an empty ball pit and brightly colored balls strewn about!
