For now, Scamp seems to be safe in the cage with Abita and Mogli. Pandora has not shown any aggression toard him, but she likes sleeping in a pile. In the cage, Scamp can often be found sleeping on the bare plastic floor. Abita is kind of loner, and Moges is so laid back he can sleep with anyone.  |

Yoshi has been all up in his grill whenever they meet. We keep Scamp in our room for now with a plywood barrier, but Everyone can get over it but Scamp. Rosa will cause problems too, but Yoshi will actually hunt Scamp down and beat him up. Jaffa and Yoshi went at it when they met, but Yoshi ended up being his protege. Yoshi has the chance to mentor Scamp, but if he's not careful, Scamp will one day kick his butt. Scamp is only 11 weeks but much more solidly built and already 730g.
He's doing well bunking with Mogli, Abita and even Lola, who was being a bit of a pain before. Pandora never bothers anyone, but Yoshi likes sleeping with her because she's warm and has a big belly, lol.

Junior aka Scamp is doing great. He's been experimenting with various foods. He likes raw turkey mince, he tried some cooked egg today with some of it eaten, and he just devoured a serving of chicken gizzards. We've put an order of stella and chewy's in a cart, waiting for a paycheck. If we can get him on a mostly meat diet, that 'd be great.
He's still a kook. 90% pure energy. He'll go right up to any ferret but Yoshi, but he's a little scared of loud noises or movement close by. No regrets on this guy.
@sherry Have you ever had more than one RCF together? We're thinking about POSSIBLY ordering another, but not until after The Bash.

yes, Mr Frodo and Suki lol. However SHE was the spaz. He was one of the few laid back ones. Suki and Willow(Holden) would go bonkers together though.

I was wondering how they got on. Right now, Yoshi is being a PITA, but it won't be long until Scamp is as big as he. And Rosa is poorly atm, so it may not be long until we have a slot. MOre on that in another Thread.

Yoshi still don't like him. But I'm betting he'll be 2 lb by the end of the week. I need to weigh Yoshi. Last time, a couple months ago, he was 2 3/4 lb. This morning Scam had Mogli by the throat, just playing. Mogli likes him. Moges is the submissive male. I think Yoshi is ticked because we've been bunking Mogli with Scamp in the ferret nation, and Yoshi and Moges were buddies. Animals may not be "self aware," but don't no one ever tell me they have no emotions. So we now have to alternate Mogli between Yoshi and Scamp, without any input from Mogli, lol. MAYBE that will bring Yoshi around.

Dude is over 2 lbs now at 3 months. That makes him as big as Mogli. We had a great time playing this morning, and he never bit. For some reason Mogli loves him, even when he drags Moges around by the neck, Mogli comes back for more. I promise pics soon.

Dude's gaining almost an ounce a day. He's 2.25 lb, up from 1.75 a week ago. Yoshi is brutal to him, but Yoshi's day of reckoning is coming. Yosh is only 2.4 lb, so Scamp will pass him in weight within a week or 2. Scamp is just a kid. He wants to play wrestle. Yoshi want to kill. Scamp is so smart. And personally, I've never seen a fert with so much energy. He is good for 3 hours, 3x a day. He's very much a people ferret. The others play for a few minutes and go abouttheir business, but Scamp can't get enough people play time. At the moment, his favorite game is boomerang, where we slide him across the floor and he comes running back. A few pics
