I am in the process of making box towers for my girls. I will post pics when I get the first part done. It isn't pretty, but the boxes were free and tape is cheap ;D

Heather have you ever had anyone get stuck in them where you had to take it apart? Do you take it apart to clean? What do you use to tape them together? Cheapest place to buy it? The coloured tubes can come apart to be redone in different combinations. Do I take them apart to clean...rarely. The tubes get dusted. The black tube goes around the room twice, it's one length. The tubes are held together with duct tape. I bought the black tubing from Home Depot, any hardware store carries it. The coloured tubing is obviously the regular ferret tubing along with the connecting balls. I've collected it over the years from all the tubes that are turned in with the little ones (some were loved when they were first bought and came fairly well equiped). Some of the tubes are pop bottle tubes (Jennifer suggested them one time, if they break or get dirty you just tear them down and recycle them) As far as little ones getting stuck....my largest ferret at the moment is only 3 + pounds, Napoleon used this arrangement and he was just under 5 lbs...he had no problems using it. I do have a little girl who falls asleep in there...you just poke it until she decides to move. It does look very cluttered and a bit of a mess but the guys love it and it keeps the ones who have to play in the room amused and happy ciao

Oh that looks so fun! How on earth do you hang the tunnels though? Shane and I were discussing earlier how cool it would be to have tunnels all over the walls, but I have no clue how to attach/hang them...?

I'm definitely interested in how you attached them as well, because when we move, our ferret room will have amazing tunnels like that.

Nylon string and hooks. Ferrets don't weigh very much and nor do the tunnels. This room isn't going to be permanent so everything can be easily removed and changed out (this room is to eventually be my studio) Eventually they will have most of the basement, with access to the rest of the house. So the ferret rooms will be downstairs allowing them to access the rest of the house during the day but making sure that they only deal with natural lighting. This will give them a larger space to play in if they're confined to their room. ciao

dook2dook.com has really cool ferret gyms you can get ideas from those if they are to costly. I don't have the money to buy one now but I would like to. They look cool and they fit easy into a corner and don't take up the hole room.

I really recommend it, the boys are having a blast as we speak ;D Sherry- I LOVE hearing there claws on the tubbing! Sounds so funny my dog actually follows them from the outside of the tube with that "WTF?" tilt of her head. She just can't figure out how they're doing it--I have a video of her poking her head IN TO the tube to try and see Memphis Also - it was really cheap. I think I got around 6' for 5 bucks? Definitely worth it, I'm getting more!
