So I ordered from Hare Today some grinds I would like to try for my kids.
Little about the grinds I bought:
Duck: 71% muscle meat 24% bone and 5% liver
Goat: 83% muscle meat 10% bone and 7% liver, spleen kidney
Rabbit: 80% muscle meat 10% bone 10% liver, pancreas, kidney, brains, spleen (whole carcass grind)
Lamb: 73% muscle meat 17% bone 10% liver, pancreas, kidney
There is notes under each description that says heart is considered muscle so I don't know the percentage of heart.
Also for lamb they kind of contradict themselves saying the sheep organs include the liver, heart, lung, tripe and kidneys but then they give the percentage as I put above of only the liver, pancreas and kidney. Not sure what's going on there.
I also don't have the traditional 2 meals a day. I have added an afternoon snack/meal to balance the bone heavy grinds with extra muscle meat. Also not every day has this snack/meal just on the days of heavy bone.
Sunday AM: 50% liver + 50% kidney
Sunday Afternoon: ()
Sunday PM: Duck Grind
Monday AM: Rabbit Grind
Monday Afternoon: Egg
Monday PM: Duck Neck
Tuesday AM: 100% heart
Tuesday Afternoon: ()
Tuesday PM: Duck Neck
Wednesday AM: Goat Grind
Wednesday Afternoon: Beef Stew Meat
Wednesday PM: Duck Neck
Thursday AM: Beef Stew Meat
Thursday Afternoon: ()
Thursday PM: Duck Neck
Friday AM: Lamb Grind
Friday Afternoon: Beef Stew Meat
Friday PM: Duck Neck
Saturday AM: Lamb Grind
Saturday Afternoon: Beef Stew Meat
Saturday PM: Duck Neck
According to the chart I was reading 5 grind meals technically equals 9 frankenprey meals 6 bone in meals 1 muscle meat meal 1 heart meal and 1 organ meal. Now I spoke with another member and she noticed how bone dense some of the grinds are and mentioned that I might want to add a couple more muscle meat meals. Also mentioned to do the 50%+50% organ meal. I also have 6 bone in meals so I am on target with that. I just need to make sure this looks balanced. If I need to change something please let me know. Any recommendations are wanted. This is my first grind, frankenprey menu. Thank You! Sorry its so long just a lot of info to give lol
