When I first got Layla, I didn't know much about Marshall's except that the food was bad, so I bought some toys from them. I only have one rattle-ball left, and Sashi LOVES it (she'll run across the room if she hears it). It's a loud rattle with stuffing and then fabric around it, and its starting to wear down. I've looked at plush rattles for babies, but they're not as loud as Sashi likes them, and I REALLY don't want to buy anything from Marshall's (they got enough money from me for Sashi).
I also got some of the pull-string vibration toys, which have been torn too much for me to let the ferrets have them anymore, and both girls loved them (this was a supervision-only toy of course).
Have you guys seen any loud, plush-covered rattles besides Marshall's? or something like the pull-string toys? I'm sure I could make my own, but for ease and cost, I'd rather buy them.

I'm not exactly sure what you're speaking of, but I got some fairly loud (I think) plush cat toy rattle balls that my fuzzies just love. The sound is not as loud as a bell in a hard plastic toy ball, but I like them because they are not hard plastic, they are durable (I've washed them in the washing machime with their bedding many times), and they make enough noise to entertain the little fuzzies. Not sure if this is helpful at all, but maybe.... Best!

Yes! Those look almost exactly like what I have for my fuzzies now (different colors, same idea, same size, all that). I got them in the cat section of the pet store - I think they came in a package of 3. I've had them for months now, and washed them at least once a week with great results. Check it out - you never know!

P.S. They weren't all that expensive - maybe $5 US - and as much as the little ones gnaw on them they don't seem to give up. Wish I could give you a specific name brand or product, but I just can't. All I can say, again, is look in the cat section and see what you might find. These balls are my babies second favorite toys I would say. (of course if our puppy gets a hold of one she'll stash it under the couch and then forget about it for the pure enjoyment of confiscating it from her sisters!) Best!
