Hi I bought some turkey leg mince from asda, how do I find out how much bone is in there to know how much egg shell to add? I'm struggling to get them to eat chunks of meat, I hide it in the soup and occasionally they eat it all but mostly the chunks get left and they eat around in. So I thought I might try mince and see if that entices them. Has anyone had a ferret that refuses to eat chunks? It's been a month now I've been trying to introduce chunks, when it is finely chopped into teany tiny pieces it gets eaten anything bigger is ignored.

Since I do not feed mince, I will let someone else help on that.
I have weaned one off of soupy that was more difficult than others. I had to proceed to the second step and offer the slivers. She would lick the slivers clean when I poured soupy over them, so I daubed the slivers lightly with soupy. I just sat on floor beside her and finger daubed them. Oh yeah she tried to lick them clean but lightly dab them. Slivers about the size of top of pinkie nail or smaller.
Maybe the mince will work for you.

Thanks you, I tried feeding little pinky finger nail size this afternoon with no soup, and a drizzle of ferret oil on top. Two ate a few bits quite well before starting to hide it, and one a had to hand feed a couple pieces but he soon gave up. But it was promising that they actually ate some if only a small amount! I shall just keep persevering with them.

you may have to daub with a little soupie--if they are really keen on the soupie.
