Hello! It's been a while since I've been on here! So, my ferrets have no interest in any toys. Oliver is the only one who will play with the cat toys that are on a pole, and they both kind of like cat toy balls with smaller balls or beads inside them. Besides that... they don't really play with anything. They don't stash, either!! They have a rice box, but all they do with it is shove their face into it, roll around a little, then just sleep in it, despite there being a bunch of toys in with the rice. -__- Belle likes to chew on soft rubber for a second then gets bored. Help! I need some more ideas because I feel bad - my babies need more enrichment! Edit: While waiting for replies I found out they are very interested in closed tupperware containers. Ok ferrets. Ok.

Anything rubber is a huge No No in ferret world lol Reason being Is they chew it and swallow it and it becomes a blockage. Yes you mentioned they aren't big chewers and they loose interest but you never know. So I would seriously ditch anything rubber and make sure they cant get to it.

How about boxes and towel forts? If nothing else, they are novel places to take a nap. My ferrets also like crinkly paper, the style that is used as padding inside of boxes that are sent through the mail.

Ah, I didn't mean to make it sound like they have rubber all the time. What I meant was she enjoys attacking my phone because of the bit of rubber on it, but then gets uninterested. I wouldn't leave toys like that around. I should make them a box fort again, they had one before I moved. Even then they didn't care much for it. They have plastic baggies, they do enjoy those quite a bit. And they have a few tunnels that they play in and run through. Are these okay to let them play with? I gave mine some and Belle would push them around then bite them a lot and I noticed that the red color from it was coming off and making her mouth red so I took them all away.

I've seen toys like that made with paper, which may be less dangerous than ones made with foil.

Watch those phones. I took all the extra rubbery stuff off mine because my ferret chewed it and had to do blockage protocol. pic of ends of hubby and my phones. As u can see thow much my abbey chewed in comparison to hubby's. Of my 4 ferrets, only my one year old likes toys, and she just moves them from one place to another. Mine like arrangements of boxes with sheets or blankets on them-----big investigators.

My boys don't play with toys at all but they love tunnels. My play room is all tunnels. Maybe for two minutes they play with toys but mostly it's a waste of money. Do they like tunnels?

fill an old cardboard box with dried leaves seal it shut and cut a circle so they can climb in and out the noise they make and the fact they can tunnel in them gives hours of fun they are also harmless mine also enjoy playing with hardboiled eggs I crack a small spot and peel off a tiny amount of shell mainly to let the smell out and give them something to work at they eat the whole thing shell included ( the shell is a good thing as it is pure calcium ) you may simply have ferrets who don't want to play not every ferret likes toys good luck take care bye for now Bev
