A few weeks ago I was petting Watson and felt a small bump on his right side. I wondered if it was a bug bite but kept an eye on it. It hadn't gone down and may have even gotten a bit bigger but I'm not certain. We scheduled a vet appointment for him to check on it. In the last week I've found three more bumps around the same size and tonight I felt that the original bump is two. They do not have heads on them like bug bites that I can see but the pores for the hair in the bumps is red. Tonight he is making swallowing noises but doesn't seem to have an issue actually swallowing. I gave him an egg yolk and he ate it without hesitation. Our appointment isn't until this Saturday. I'm starting to dread the appointment in that we may find they are tumors. Neither Sherlock nor Moriarty have any bumps. Any ideas that can help calm my nerves between now and the weekend or am I unfortunately on track about them being cysts or tumors?

Without seeing it would be hard to even guess. Considering the speed they've come up...MCTs would be what I would be wishing for. Swallowing noises or grinding his teeth? ciao

It sounds like a swallowing noise. Kind of like how a child sounds when they have a cold and are swallowing their drainage rather than blowing their nose.

Two weeks ago the vet decided to express a few of the bumps and check out the contents inside. It looked like some type of infection, but to be sure it was sent to a pathologist. Good news was that it returned cancer free. Bad news was that we still didn't know what was causing the bumps. Because it looked like an infection, the vet put Watson on antibiotics. He has been on them for two weeks, and though some of the bumps have felt like they have gotten smaller, some got larger, and he got more of them. We had three large bumps on him I was worrying were getting large enough to rupture so we got a vet appointment today for a biopsy. We decided to have the vet remove the three large ones. The two near his hips were the same as the previous ones the vet had drained, the third was found to be a tumor. A sample of both the tumor and one of the bumps from near his hips have been sent off, as well as full blood work. We have a few days until we get the blood work results and possibly a week or so until we get the results from the samples sent for testing. This has been the roughest day yet with our three little ones. We knew we were expecting to have more health issues with Watson when we initially brought him home. We wanted to give him the best life and care possible. This is so mentally and emotionally draining, and I think one of the most difficult parts is that he is now in a lot of pain from the surgery and we can't explain what is going on or why. Prayers would be appreciated.

I am so terribly sorry. I want to say something to make you feel better but there is nothing that could do that. I am just sorry and sad for you and your wee ones.
