I hope your wee man is doing better. After you get home is there anyway you can change his kibble? That kaytee stuff is really not good at all and has a lot of stuff in it that they shouldn't have. If you have to feed kibble check out this page it will help you pick a better food for him. moredooks.herobo.com/search.php?chart=ferretThank you! And Yes I'm going to try! I never knew kibble was bad for ferrets before this forum. Every thing I had found and advice from the pet store, before I got Teddy, just told me to get kibble, It's crazy to have been misinformed. I don't think I can make a switch to a raw diet at this point but I am 100% going to try to find the healthiest kibble for him I'm glad I have this forum to help!

Also, no matter what a vet may tell you- never ever EVER leave a kibble fed ferret without food. They NEED to eat every 3-4 hours or they can and do crash from low BG.

Hello I'm back! Need some more advice please! So I got home today, finally back with Teddy. I talked to my brother, asking about the vomiting. There has been no more vomiting BUT my brother said he never actually witnessed Teddy vomit? He said his poop kinda looked like vomit to him? SO, does this mean Teddy could have never vomited? I'm unsure on this as my brother never got a picture of what he believed to be the vomit BUT I am with Teddy now and observing him and now I need some need advice. I got home and let him out to watch him, He's 100% normal behavior wise! He's running, playing, licking, biting, chasing the cats, all his normal behavior. He seems alert and happy. His tummy feels normal, his litter box is filled and he pooped and peed right away for me. BUT, I found something that shouldn't have been in his cage. :/ I found a water bottle (which he loves to steal) but isn't allowed to play with unsupervised. Somehow he snuck one around my brother and had it in his cage..and it's pretty badly chewed up. I don't know what to do? I've never witnessed Teddy eat anything he shouldn't and he isn't big on chewing on anything. Do I worry and take him to the vet right away? Or watch him because if I hadn't have found the bottle I would have been sure he was 100% fine now. The emergency vet cost $400 the other night so I am extremely tight on money right now. I don't want to take him for no reason especially if my brother was wrong about the vomiting and I spent $400 for the vet to essentially tell me Teddy was ok. But of course I care about my baby being okay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'll attach pictures of the water bottle and the poop he just left me about 15 minutes ago.

I would be tempted to do a blockage protocol and a poop check. It looks like the problem might have been the bottle and he dealt with it...but to be on the safe side that's what I'd do ciao

I am with Heather. Follow through with a complete blockage protocol just to be sure everything has passed
