were gonna do Turkey neck in place of chicken wing this week. Also were going to do Quail twice a week instead of once. I bought lamb tripe is that okay to give them as there red meat?
We also bought rabbit to try for next week.
My only other question was about quail eggs is it the same rule as chicken eggs they can only get it up to three times a week?

Tripe is an organ and it is only nutritional if it is green tripe, most ferrets will not eat it. If yours do that is great! So no it does not counts as a red meat.We also bought rabbit to try for next week. Nice!My only other question was about quail eggs is it the same rule as chicken eggs they can only get it up to three times a week? Chicken eggs should only be given twice a week during shedding season. It is one egg per ferret weekly or 2 eggs per ferret weekly during shedding season. Quail eggs are smaller and can be given 3 a week during shedding season.

Okay do you have any suggestions on different red meat that ferrets tend to like more?

Lamb tends to be a favorite for ferrets. Beef can be tough because of its strong flavor.

Menu looks good. Pork is not considered a red meat but yes they do tend to like it. Lamb, beef, venison are red meats. If they are really giving you a hard time about eating beef which is easily accessible you can go back to soupy stage with a beef based soup so that you can more easily "make" them eat it. Pop Quiz 1.) List 2 sources of Taurine. 2.)Your ferret's stools are loose/soft. What is this a sign of and how can you adjust to fix it? 3.)How much and how often can egg be fed?

why do ferrets need red meat in their diet? and i will try the soupie. Its in hearts and fish like shrimp are high in taurine.
if its loose you add more bone-in meals if its hard you add more muscle meat meals.
up the three times a week.

why do ferrets need red meat in their diet? Ferrets need a source of red meat for it's iron content to help prevent anemia.and i will try the soupie. Its in hearts and fish like shrimp are high in taurine. Yes hearts, shrimp is a decent amount also but actually on the low side for a fish. Salmon, Tuna ans Smelt have the highest contents of taurine for fish.if its loose you add more bone-in meals if its hard you add more muscle meat meals. Yesup the three times a week. Would you give each ferret 3 eggs a week all the time? What kind of eggs are you referring to?
