Hello everyone!
Last night I put my t-shirt in with little Stewie. He seems perfectly fine today, however when I put him in the play pen and was straightening out his cage, it looks as though he chewed a couple small holes in my t-shirt. It doesn't look as though any bits are missing from it but as a precaution I wonder if he is too young for a bit of egg the youngest I ever gave egg to was a few months old so I'm not sure. His poops are fine but I'm a worrier.
The eggs are free range organic eggs.

Hi Try him with a little scrambled egg ( I normally give it warm with a drizzle of olive oil ) or you can hard boil an egg and peel it and mash it up with a little oil save the shells as they can be dried and ground down to dust ( pure natural calcium ) and sprinkled on his food when he gets a little older you can give him a hardboiled egg as a play treat leave the shell on but tap a little place and peel off just enough to let the smell out they spend hours rolling around eggs trying to eat there way into it hope this helps take care bye for now Bev

Eggs won't do anything for material. It only works on hair. If you think he's ingested some of your shirt, try some pumpkin and then some vaseline an hour later....how much??? Certainly not the amount used in the blockage protocol. 1 tsp of pumpkin and 1/4 tsp of vaseline? I've never had to do this with a baby baby....my guys are nursing at this age and I"m going to guess that's what your little one was doing to ciao

Hi crazyladyI meant is he too young for raw egg? I'm just concerned because of him chewing on the t-shirt. Since learning about ferralax I use raw egg instead but wasn't sure if that's advisable at his age.

He has had a couple poops since going into his playpen so I am likely worried about nothing but I'd rather be safe then sorry. It might be a good time to get him accustom to pumpkin for future needs anyway.

Stewie is younger than my littlest girl was when she came home. I gave her a little stuffy in the carrier to keep her company on the ride home and by the time we got there, she had suckled its ears completely off. I gave her about a tsp of pumpkin and a tiny little lick of Vaseline. She pooped it all out the next day. I can't really tell you if the pumpkin/Vaseline affected her system though. She was such a sick little baby to begin with.

Winnipeg ate a lot of fleece and cotton when he was first brought home, I didn't even realize anything was missing until he started pooping fabric! I took all the blankets out and gave them back after a few weeks and he didn't eat them again. Babies seem to want to chew anything with the right texture to soothe their mouths.

I forgot to update that he is fine he had his wee pumpkinpoo and seems to be fine. I don't think he actually ingested any. It does look loke he was trying to nurse on it.
