:mental sigh!:
So...My poops have cleared up a tad from feeding a lot of bone but while feeding fish, Someone was proceeding and throw up little fish bones in clear liquid. It only happened 1-3 times and hasn't since fish ran out. But I was wondering if perhaps the ferret was just gorging him or herself on the fish and threw up being he was too full?
Or what are the theory's of throwing up? I know miss piggy weasel ripple has been hacking a bit so I gave her some gooey Vaseline stuff to help clean her out. Ripply is equivalent to a dog that will eat themselves sick and has BLOWN up from a petite 1ish 2lbs to 2ish. I love to see her itty bitty body and than this huge preggo Cammy belly. lol
Another question:
I found out last month that my kids did not like beef. They plainly just turned their noses to it. So I was going to do Turkey, Chicken, and Pork. Only problem is...My turkeys dried up and are no where to be seen.
So now I am down a meat source. What are the ratios of meat sources per month they should have? Is it alright if they eat pork, and chicken for the majority of the month or the entire month? I am going to try to find a few live quails from free cycle.
Part Medical Part Diet Question:
So...Nyu, my old baldie girl, is losing weight. I am thinking it is just the adrenal getting worse but she is scary to try to switch. I hate trying to switch older ferrets with no weight to hold back on.
This week I will be off with not a lot of work to do a proper switch and would love if you guys can help figure out a basic format part tough love, part balance for a tender situation? Nyu drinks souppies and will lick chicken. Lucy will drink souppies, and eat/nibble on peices. They both haven't figured out how to bite their food.
Behavior Question (didn't want to do a new thread):
Lucy has shown some odd aggression but it could be due to stress. I will put her in the ferret room and she will hide for a while and than come out to sleep in a hammock with a random ferret. Well...It is like she wakes up and realizes who she is sleeping with and just freaks out. She screams, hisses, and just goes after the ferret. She has even done this (once) to nyu who has been her cage mate for who knows how long. Como(one of the girls I met from here) made a joke how she is waking up from a one night stand! lol
But seriously..I understand her need to fight as pixie, weazie, and tulia (yeah pretty little sweet tulia) will just go after her and nyu. But the screaming at dakota, who is a angel ferret for christ sake, and than having me come save her from jack jack who just doesn't put up with that crap. It's really kind of
PS: oh...and bear keeps pushing the food container over to the gate so he can jump.
