I have a 11 week old baby ferret and he is switched on to raw he loves it and goes crazy for it. But when he eats if you get near him he runs away and kind of chirps at you, even while he is just eating he shakes. It's like a feeding frenzy. I was trying to teach him basic things like come and just his name with boiled chicken but once I try to reward him he will bite and freak again. I need some help to control my little monster.

He's a wee beastie and totally normal . You cannot change what is. He's supposed to be like this. Just feed him and be happy you have a healthy normal wee fuzzbrat. That is how baby ferrets....h*ll, ferrets as adult react to real food. Sit back and enjoy the show I thought I'd add this video. They're being darn polite but you can get the drift. These guys are about 7 weeks old and it's a meal of rats...were frozen..thought I'd better add that ciao

My 13 week old does the same thing. He's incredibly mouthy too outside of him being fed. I was told this is normal kit schenanigans. What a punk

My little baby (now 1 yr)found some jerky under the bed, just trying to check what was in her mouth. She jumped and hissed at me with little jerky in her mouth ---sooooo, soo cute. 'will never forget it. Them babies love their food.

Hybrid kits are huge not far of Bandit's size in that video, I thought that she was small but not that small. No wonder her breeder said that she was way too small to be released into the wild with her siblings, she was about 1/3 the size of your hybrid kits at 9 weeks old and she's a pure eu polecat, she was from a large litter of 14 though and there were 3 runts, she was the smallest, her siblings were massive compered to her when I picked her up.

@sacappy This is completely normal for kits to be food aggressive, especially with raw, I've found that putting a blob of salmon oil on their bellies and stroking their faces while they lick it off their bellies helps calm the food aggression a little

My baby had the same issue. someone on here suggested a feeding den. Picked one up and it completely changed his ways! I can touch him now when he's eating without him freaking out.

I've got 2 jills out of that litter. The smallest you see is the hob kit, Radagast. Those 2 jills are a good size now. Merida weighed in at just a shade under 4lbs...3 lbs 14 oz and her sister weighs 2lbs 14 oz last month. They're strong, big boned girls. ciao

Lady Lola who's their mother, weighs exactly 2 lbs. At very most she weighs 2 lbs 4 oz. What I like about the poleys, at least the girls...practically no weight variances. Maybe an oz or so but nothing really worth noting ciao
