Okay I got him an appointment for Wednesday, that's the soonest I could find a vet who does ferrets.

Updated poo picture from today. Still soft, but a lot more formed.

I'm assuming your fuzzie is kibble fed based on the most recent picture. Take a stool sample- and, if you're able, of the bad looking poop as well- to the vet. Did he get into any treats?
The eye issue is more concerning. Is the skin inflamed? How is the nose? Is the skin pink, white, or red? Could a spray or something similar have gotten into the eye? Do *you* feel sick at all?

He is still eating the premium Marshall diet. I haven't decided on a new food to switch to yet. He hasn't gotten anything to eat but the Marshall diet.
The skin around his eyes are slightly pink and puffy after I clean them. But then through out the time he's awake, they seem to clear up and are just slightly watery looking but not so much to wet the area outside his eyes. No sprays and nothing I can think of got on or near his eyes. his nose and gums and skin is a nice healthy pink. We aren't sick. It's been going on for 10 days at least now off and on, but mostly on. Not getting worse but not always better. It seemed to get worse after bringing him into the steam in the bathroom, but more so in a way that maybe it just loosened everything up? I didn't use any soaps. Just water. Then, after taking him out it seemed to get slightly filmy over his eyes which was easily wiped away then just a goop in the corner of his eyes which only lasted an hour or two. Laundry detergent is scent free and hypo allergenic. He has sneezes occasionally. but no coughing or gagging.

It all really mostly only happens while he's sleeping.

The crusty/weepy eye is quite possibly conjunctivitis which will need an antibiotic ointment more likely than not. The stools could be almost anything from stress to parasites.

He woke up today with bright clear eyes! Hopefully that stays. I'm not sure what kind of stress he would have.. We just got him on the first, and his poop has been off and on loose like the two pictures. It seems nice and formed this morning. Still soft, but formed.

Change of home is very stressful for them.

Do you think the stress of moving could last this long?
Also another thing I didn't think to mention, he was pretty skinny when we brought him home. He's still pretty young. But he's visibly grown longer and his waist line has gotten rounder, also his fur is much shinier.

His poo is firming up a lot. And his eyes are still a big goopy but it's looking much better. I'm wondering if he has clogged tear ducts actually.

The only way to find out is to make that vet appointment and see what you're dealing with. It's best to find out if he needs some antibiotics or creme for that eye. ciao

Ferrets bought from pet stores often come with communicable diseases. It will take a little time for it to clear up meanwhile just keep cleaning it every day. One of my ferrets developed a crusty eye but it cleared up in a couple of weeks.

We have an appointment for tomorrow but I'm not getting paid like I expected to be today. Is there any pet insurance or anything like that that covers ferrets? I can only find cats and dogs.

Some vets will take a post dated checks, but that's usually only if you're already an established client. As far as insurance, I'm not sure.

When I got baby Dizzy she had an eye infection and the vet visit, antibiotics and eye ointment was under $100. My cheapest vet visit! Lol
