My Poor Baby Ghost whom is a Tiny male Born in September. Has I believe URI. He gets in these horrible sneezing fits and sounds wheezy/stuffy at times. His brother whom is fine is also getting checked just because they came together. Last night He was staining to poop and had a Prolapse rectum I did go back in but He is still having a hard time. We are headed to the vet today. He has started on Raw Diet about 2 days ago. Not sure if that would cause a issue I used the soupie recipe on here. My other older Baby Echo is also sneezing etc. I'm hoping the vet will give me enough meds to treat him too cause Our vet here is very expensive and to do all 3 at the same time I'm gonna have a hard time with the bill because I just had my daughter hospice zed for pneumonia and now I'm also sick so I'm hoping I don't have pneumonia too cause I have no healty insurance for myself.

It is a good idea to have him checked for a respiratory infection "just in case". But many ferrets also develop sneezing fits due to dust/fur/what have you that they have sniffed up. With the protruding rectum, that is fairly normal for many after going potty. If it goes back in on it's own in 10-15 minutes naught to worry about If his stools are really loose on the new diet, add another 1/4 tsp eggshell powder per recipe amount.

Yes Did go back in but how I noticed was he was dragging his bum and he kept pacing in the box. And He kept trying to poop was wasn't producing anything. He uses Fleece Bedding sets and use the Recycled Newspaper Hard pellets for litter that's all that's in his cage. So nothing I know of he would have sniffed up but he kinda sounds like he is coughing and sneezing at the same time. I try ed to upload a video but it won't work. He kinda sounds like my daughter and I. We have pneumonia that's why I'm gonna have him checked anyway.

I would have him checked. Ferrets are very prone to pneumonias. Another thing to is if he's trying to potty and cannot have them run a barium on him. He wouldn't be the first kit to have consumed something he shouldn't and after watching another thread where the vets fiddled and farted around about not doing a barium when it was needed cost a little one his life. ciao

I agree. I hadn't realized he was straining to potty. That earns a vet visit in and of itself. And if you have pneumonia, then have him checked. A chest xray is necessary to detect pneumonia. It can't be diagnosed by listening.

He was seen. The prolapse he had went right back in and hasn't happened again. He is pooping now but it's very mucusy. They are both mid switch to Raw soupie. They were both on Marshalls at the store. Fecal Negative and Xray Negative for pneumonia but he does have URI. He was but on Antibiotics.
They use Fleece Bedding, recycled Paper Pelleted Litter none scented and Eat Raw soupie. Recipe from this forum. The cleaner I use is a SIMPLE Green cleaner and the cage is cleaned and dry before they go back in. I don't use perfume anything in my house cause I myself am allergic.

At least you know what is wrong now And as I am sure you have read, the switch alone is going to cause stools to be all over the board. And with antibiotics added in, that will double the effect.
