Disect those poops and make sure there is nothing in them. They should have been more normal by now. Ok...Gina it's jami. Aka poop police...bahaha. I am on the poop patrol at my house and I removed some of these 'worm - like' white things in Jax's poop when we got home.... and I can confirm that they are NOT worms. But in fact small chunks and slivers of undigested chicken...which I must say smell absolutely horrid! It smells like rotten chicken. So that is the info on Jax's poop and the mystery tubes. Why is that happening to him??? He does not eat fast..he's actually a slow poke eater and when he hits a chunk or sliver he does seem to chew. Thoughts? ?? Jami Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

I honestly don't know why that happens, but I have a boy that sometimes passes those too. Try going to straight soup, no chunks, for a couple of days and give his system a little more time to adjust to the new foods before we start back on chunks. Maybe that will help.
(Whispering) Shhhh.... Don't tell Gomez this time. I'm going to be away tomorrow. If you have an emergency, tag some of the other mentors. I'll be away from home until Friday night but I should be able to check in here after tomorrow.

Morning. Will stop the chicken slivers and chunks for Jax @dinner tonight. And will do that for couple days and monitor poops. Gomez did better at breakfast - he had 2 Oz shaved steak and 1 Oz soupie. Yay!!! We are hoping for an event free holiday weekend...other than shopping bargains!!! Thanks Jami

Hurray for both boys! For Gomez, start decreasing the amount of soup with each meal and add a tiny bit of heart so he starts getting used to the flavor.
Jax's poops are better. Does that mean they are normal color and consistency, or just not those worm looking things?

Jax poops are loose but no worm tube things.

Glad poops are finally getting Menus... Gomez first. You don't have enough organ in this menu and it is too chicken heavy. He is still learning to eat everything so I'm not going to fuss about it. I just want you to be aware for the future. If more than 4 bone in meals per week are chicken, it's too chicken heavy. Also, you have several meals that are mixed proteins or muscle meat mixed with heart. That is fine for only one ferret, but once the boys are eating together, you'll want to serve only one thing per meal to make sure they both get what they need. Gomez is eating all of those proteins, but is not eating bone yet. How is he doing with the decrease in soup? I want to start working on bone this week. He has crunched a little bit on wing tips, so hopefully this won't be too difficult. CGH bones are much smaller than chicken bones so try offering them without smashing first. Cut a rib portion out of the bird and then cut between the ribs and see if he'll eat that. If not, we may have to start by smashing. And keep cutting back on his soup.
Now Jax... Unless he has really progressed in the last few days, he is not going to be ready for those bone in meals. Skip the bone for him (offer them for snacks but don't count on him eating them for a meal) and just keep working on larger chunks of muscle meat. Has he had the pork, beef, and lamb yet? If those are new, be prepared for him to balk at those.
One other thing that I noticed... you have gizzards included in a heart/organ meal. Gizzards are NOT organs. They are a muscle meat.

Yep. Twice could be coincidence. 3 times is for sure.
How are they doing with their meals? Is Gomez taking the bigger chunks any easier? And jax's poops... Are they normal raw poops yet?

Jax is having loose soupie poops BUT both Jami and I are wondering if he doesn't have IBD, they really really stink, much more than Gomez ever did and just really loose.....he js getting smll slivers and chunks with soupie but he poops ALOT, during the night the most. Feel so bad for him. Gomez is formed and good. On another note, I impaled a stick in my ear canal on Saturday and ruptured my ear drum, lot of pain, out of work due to it bleeding and small clot they think so we might be a little behind in posting this week.

Oh geez.... That sounds painful! How on earth did you manage to do that? Take care of yourself. I'll be here when you get back to posting regularly.
Can you post a picture of jax's poops? He's still eating a lot of soup, so that could be the reason they are loose. Or he could have a sensitivity to chicken. You could try switching the soup protein and see if that helps.

Ok here is a Jax poop from the last hour. Very loose and 1 of those tube things darn it, haven't had those in days. This morning I changed up the soupie with an oz of chicken, then since too chicken heavy doing beef tonight with soupie. I like the idea of changing the protein on the soupie, what to 8 oz beef maybe with veal heart and veal liver?
