I'm almost one week into switching my four and Koi [3yo, F] has had strange poops the last day and a half. I realize that this comes with the territory of switching, but this is worrying and has never happened before. Switching Thread LinkThey've been off kibble for 4 days now and I haven't changed anything in the soup since starting. Chicken thigh, pig heart and pig liver. She looked as if she wasn't feeling well last night, didn't eat much and she was kinda clingy and sleeping more. Today she had a fairly big appetite, but she's noticeably warm to the touch and a little more tired than normal. She usually doesn't like to be around me while she sleeps (she likes dark corners under my bed) and will wake up at most noises, but right now she's curled up at my feet. She doesn't seem to be lethargic, in fact she had just as much energy as usual when I fed her earlier, it's just shorter bursts of energy and a lot more sleeping. Any thoughts? Is it normal or should I plan a vet visit...?

She just used the litterbox and it looked much better. A lot less mucous-y, anyway. It looked like a thin version of the small brown chunk above the cloudy part in the picture above. She's also back to sleeping under my bed, but we'll see how long that lasts. I opened my window to cool down my room in case it's the heat...

Is she presently shedding, or is a cage mate? The mucous frequently happens when that is the case. The thing with a raw switch is the detox poops also are all over the board. Unless a particular type is happening regularly I'd chalk it up to that.

Not that I can tell. It's been consistently mucous since the night before my post, but so far the color has gotten closer to the rest of them. I gave her some pumpkin tonight, so I'll just wait and see if that helps the texture. If not, I'll try changing to another meat. Just not sure if it's in the realm of switching poops or if I should be concerned.

To be honest I'd not be concerned just yet if her activity level, appetite etc is as per normal.

I think I'll chalk it up to switching. I separated them so I could see how each of them were going and they all have the same texture. Pretty sure I didn't notice until now because they've been eating more recently and therefore eliminating more. Heather suggested adding more bone meal, so I'll do that when I make more tomorrow. Thanks
