She may have gotten some of what you had.
when they see her condition they will probably take her right in. Hoping you and the little one the best. Tell them you have an emergency.

Poop picture: At least I know she's hydrated to a point...And it doesn't look bad, the bone meal keeps it formed. I think it places some doubt on bacterial problems, which is a start.

Meal 2; Koi meal 4: B: 1.25 oz; total 2.83 oz P: 0.54 oz; total 1.40 oz (she seems very distracted by Koi) C: 0.72 oz; total 1.28 oz
K: 1.34 oz; total 3.76 oz
Koi weighs in at 830 grams, or 1.83 pounds. It's slightly higher than it was last time I weighed them, but last time was on an empty stomach, this time was with eating about 3 hours previously.
Koi is so out of it, I was able to clip half her claws without any distractions and no fussing... And she also added a new symptom. I believe she was pawing her mouth, though it could have been just licking her paw. She also started licking her genitals, not her legs. Only 5 hours and I should know when I can bring her in. Right now she is with Pocky in the cage for the night. I'm hoping Pocky will help her survive the night, she's definitely tending to Koi a lot. They've been bonded together for almost 4 years, I'm hoping that leaves her with some sort of advantage.

Thanks. I think I'll just keep updating the emergency thread for now to make it a bit easier and have it all in one place. Hopefully today finds something definitive. Thanks for the help last night

Less than 24 hours later and Koi is back to getting into absolutely everything. She actually really likes the meds, which makes it so much easier. I'm looking into probiotics for after the antibiotics, so we'll see how she's doing after all that is done. She's stopped giving the insulinoma signs, too! Aaaand we're officially at 3 proteins, lamb was accepted today. I picked up chicken wings, turkey gizzard, CGH, and bison.

Partial success with trying a chicken wing! Koi and Pocky ate a small chunk off the shoulder end and quit, but Ciel tore into it! He had a good inch off the wing tip and a good sized chunk from the shoulder. I let him keep it in the cage for the night, hopefully more is missing by the morning!

HE FINISHED THE ENTIRE WING! I should not be this happy that his poop has bone fragments.

Tonight in the cage they have the leftover lamb soup with heart slivers, heart chunks on the side, and a small wing. Ciel *really* likes the bone, he didn't bother with the meat yet. Haha

Updates! Sorry for taking so long, between finals and holidays and moving, it's been a mess. Everyone has tried small chunks except Booker, who decided he wouldn't eat unless they all went back to grinds. After 3 days I gave in, so we're back. Slowly trying to work in slivers, but Booker is so stubborn. I'm working on slowly getting things set up again in my new kitchen, but it's slow. I'll try to update more often now

We've moved on to chunks! Booker included! I lucked out and apparently he loves pork. Okay, so I officially signed a lease for a new apartment we'll stay at for multiple years, and we move Feb 1st. More moving, but it's for the best. Much better management, nicer apartment, ferrets much more accepted. And not shag carpet that they love to dig! Once we move and get settled into a schedule, I'll be back to daily updates

You've been busy and sounds look like you'll be busy a bit longer. Hooray for your success and give little Booker a special hug for being so good.
Since Booker loves pork, you might try looking for pork brains. Mine love them and they make for a nice Other organ. Mine like an organ meal of pork liver plus pork brains and pork tongue for their Organ plus Heart meal.
Pork brains are usually found in a freezer section. Ask the butcher/Manager of your grocery store and see if they carry any.
Good luck with the move and post when you can. You're doing very well!

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that you've been set up with an official mentor and switching thread which you can find here. I believe Heather will be vaulting this thread, but you can still bookmark it for future reference
