Make sure she gets plenty of food in case she has insulinoma--- like maybe twice a day and a snack in middle. you might water food a little if it is hard going down and warm it up.
Microwave your plate and and put food on and stir, if feeding soupie. You will have to test for the plate's heat. It can get hot. My frozen soupies get stirred around and are rather nice.
I would go to exotic vet as soon as possible. Hope she will be ok. Bless her heart. Please keep us updated.

Thanks. Any thoughts on the sound she's making?

I let her out just now and she ran to the bathroom, her poop was essentially water, she ran around the room dragging her hind end, her mouth started twitching, and then she threw up...

All I could here was crackling sounds like some type of paper. Gosh that is sad about throwing up-----Has she been into anything like rubber----? Does she have allergy to chicken----just going off top of head here? I am going to say something that will probably make people a little mad------ but i would not use more than 1/2 teaspoon of bone powder to 8 oz soupie------that stuff is sticky. To me it pulls water away from whatever---- just as any powder will absorb. I had one male who would run down the cage to cough. He could not go far without coughing , and he had no energy---probably because he could not get enough oxygen. He would go short distances and stop. He had lung cancer (no smokers here) He was 2 yrs old. Other than hair from shedding---I do not have much experience with coughing. Can you get her to a vet. It doesn't sound good---the diarrhea and vomiting. Sherry ?

Yeah, the crackling sounds were her. Coughing, along with her claws on the bin she was climbing. Not that I can find. It was more heaving, only a small amount came up and she swallowed it before it left her mouth. I did get a new brand of beef (I've given beef before), they've had it since the 18th, so it might be that...but the weight problem started weeks ago. And I can't exactly tell much from the litterbox because they're in the midst of switching. Last night she had slightly explosive diarrhea (from marks on the side that dripped down) and this morning was the same, but the last poo was more formed and brown/gray. Definitely, I'll make an appointment in the morning, hopefully I can get in in the next day or two. Even if it's as simple as bacterial problems, it should be looked at. You can tell she's exhausted, she actually cuddled against my chest for an hour, which she's never done in the 3 years I've had her... I just fed her very watery soupie and she had 0.65 oz. Sherry Any thoughts on tests I should request, if any?

Meal 1; Koi meal 2 P 0.86 B 1.58 C 0.56 Koi had about 0.2-0.3 but my scale was being weird and every time I took such a small amount of food out it would tare and make that zero. * I'll upload a picture in a minute, you can tell her hind end is sunken. :/ The darkest spots just above her hips is where it's literally indented, it's darker because of no light reflecting off the fur. Pushing on those spots, my fingers almost touch below her spine, she lost a lot of weight for already being underweight.

At this point I'm thinking that it's either bacterial overgrowth, coccidia/flu virus/virus (since I was just sick for a week, but doesn't explain the previous weight issues), or insulinoma...
Oh, and she seems to be having trouble swallowing. She makes this half cough, half choking sound to swallow anything that isn't extra watery. This started as of the meal just now.

please keep us updated--hoping somebody will come in and give advice. Do tell us when you see vet and results. Such a sad situation going on.
As far as beef, they say it and chicken is the two top allergens for ferrets. Of course , i do not know if that has anything to do with it.

Okay, I'll look to find what other options the store has, and make a batch just for her. It's just weird because she did fine on the beef I got last time...Maybe something she's allergic to in the source? Any suggestions on high protein soupies besides duck? I think the store had some lamb and pork last time...
I just hope she makes it a few days. If they don't have an opening tomorrow...

Hanging in there with you. It does sound like she has respiratory issues pretty bad. hopefully vet can give her something to clear that up.
Pork and lamb is good. U might can pull some meat off turkey drumsticks, too.

She's been doing well with eating the soupie, though I think I might strain a bit of it so there are less chunks for now. Would that be okay? Or is that not enough protein for her? I have some gerber turkey, I believe. Might be chicken. But I know I have some. I'll give her that if soup gets too hard for her.

Yes I would strain it. Baby food good option too, even a pinch or so of water in baby food if you think it is too thick. I would not force feed ,because you said she was choking. Let her adjust to what she can handle if that makes since.

Okay, I'll do that then. I just want her to stay on raw for as long as she'll tolerate it. I think she might have a slight fever, as well. She was really warm last time I picked her up.
