Tiberius has been very lethargic today. Sleeping more then usual. Deep sleeping which he never does. I tried to let him out to play with him and he just lied there. He even sat in my lap, which he has NEVER done. I'm really worried. I might take him to the vet but I'm also going through financial strife right now and don't know if I can afford it. Could this be related to his switching to raw? I'm really scared. He has enough energy to run between sleeping spots, but isn't interested in playing. He is chewing as if there is something in his mouth but there isn't. He's also drinking a TON of water.
I really want to believe feeding this new diet is for the best, but his behavior keeps changing and its spooking me.

This is the behaviour of a sick ferret. It has nothing to do with his diet unless he's got something caught in his teeth. It's sometimes hard to see if he's got something wedged between his teeth, a piece of bone maybe. As they become more experienced this happens less and they know how to remove them. My concern is there is something else wrong. Ulcers maybe? How are his stools? The chewing motion often indicates nausea. Is he pawing at his mouth at all? What colour are his gums? Are they sticky, pale? Lethargy is not an issue with a dietary switch, you've got something else going on and unfortunately, vetting sounds like the likely solution ciao

As of now, theres nothing else out of the ordinary. Nothing unusual about his stools or gums or anything. I'll try to take him to the vet soon I guess, but with work it might not be until wednesday. Sigh.

In my opinion, if he is acting the same within 24h, you should just walk in to the vet right away. Ferrets go down very very quick, and if it is something like an ulcer or a blockage, it may be too late.
How's his temperature, does he feel hotter at touch?

His temperature feels normal. He is drinking but refusing to eat anything, even kibble. I'll try to take him as soon as I can...

The refusal to eat anything is an ER situation. A ferret cannot go long, even a raw fed ferret only has about 24 hrs. A kibble fed ferret less than that. If your ferret is refusing food, there is no time to wait it's time to see a vet ASAP ciao

The vet believes he has a bacterial infection of the GI tract. She gave me antibiotics and a syringe to force feed him because he is refusing food. Hopefully it helps...it cost a fortune too.

You say his stools are normal? Then it isn't a GI infection. That will show as diarrhea, foul smelling stools, etc. was his blood glucose taken? What tests were done?

Oh, no no. They did a fecal and his stool was basically all mucus. It was white and spotty colored. They did blood work and everything came back normal.
