Hi and welcome to the HFF! I hope you are finding your way around easily. There are many threads about what to feed and how often here but we do love to answer questions so, this is an old menu as an example of how and what I feed. How many ferrets do you have? How old are they? What are their names? Can we see pictures? We love pictures lol! What are they currently eating?

Hi and welcome! Mine's feeding schedule is a bit different, as my boy has Insulinoma and has to eat more often, and also has to take his meds twice a day. I have two, and I feed them at the same time. Their schedule is- 8:00am- Carafate and Feed 9:00am- Prednisolone 4:00pm- Snack 8:00pm- Carafate 9:00pm- Prednisolone 12:00am- Feed It's difficult to maintain this regimen sometimes, I'm lucky that I have family who can help me with getting everything done on time. The reason for the Carafate is he has a history of gastric bleeding, and Prednisolone (the treatment for his Insulinoma and Lymphoma) can cause gastric bleeding. So I have to make sure he has a coating on his stomach before he takes it, or the result of the Pred can be as bad as him not making it. So that's why we have to be adamant about our schedule. I have a paper beside their cage with these times listed, and instructions on how and what to do. I feed commercial grinds from haretoday, so our menu is one day Chicken, one day Duck etc. All the proteins I feed are Chicken, Duck, Mutton, Goose, Pheasant, Cavies, Pork, Rabbit, and on occasion Turkey and Beef.

Do any of you feed rabbits from Hare Today? The little ones--about size of large guinea pigs have a very rich smell like......rich dirt, not potting soil. That is the best I can do explaining it. Even my dog walked away from it(but did come back later whether he ate it or not, I do not know). I have not contacted them about it.

I don't have the little ones, I only do adult sizes but the ones I got from Hare Today were fine. Rabbit is not the beasties favorite meat but they eat it without any issues.

I fed it, mine didn't really like it, but they ate it. I won't be getting it again, but they did finish it off. To me all meat smells nasty, but I think Mutton is one of the worst, lol.
