When I take both of them to the vet Tues. I will have her check out Alice's eyesight and hind legs. Her movements have been much better, she is able to run normal and hop, but she cannot jump and when walking slow she still has a wobbly gait.

Alice ate some chicken hearts this evening, but both avoided the liver (ugh). I flipped them over and won't be adding any more hearts. If they are hungry enough they can eat liver!

Also, just trimmed Alice's nails with the new clipper. It works great! You don't have to gauge where to clip, just stick the nail in and click! It cuts the right amount off every time and better still it makes cutting their nails very fast.

Both Alice and Nei are doing great. They ate a lot today, which they got to enjoy chicken, ground duck and slivers of beef. I'm surprised they ate all the liver this evening.

My husband was clipping one of my first ferret's nails while I was holding her and hit the quick-- I could not believe all the blood from that little toe----After that, I have been going to the vet. That has been over 10 yrs ago. It marked me pretty bad(lol)

That has been over 10 yrs ago. It marked me pretty bad(lol) Get those nail clippers I got, the tiny hole in the front makes sure you don't go too far. I used to botch a toe here and there before, the septic pens work really well in quickly stopping the blood. Clipping ferret nails wouldn't be hard if they would stay still lol. Those clippers really do make a difference.

Just would like to note I'm ending this thread. Both Alice and Nei are eagerly eating everything I serve them now. I have a ready supply of all the meat I need and I keep inventory of their monthly schedule. The below is my final plan.
Thank all of you for your guidance and information that helped me get my fuzzkids the best diet possible.
