That's why I wanted to jump on and share my stories (I was following your thread forever in case there was something new to try). I know Paulie can have duck (but Primal is soooo expensive and I have to go out to Howell to get Bravo). I would be curious to try him on a non-grain fed bird. No one in my family hunts wild fowl though (bummer).
You know, I thought I'd heard the rotation thing from Jennifer. I had the Paulster down to two protein sources after the November vet rush because of that. It did seem to settle him back down in that case. He is sooo reactive to his own fur.
IBD is so different in both severity and how to deal with it. Most ferrets for example would not be able to keep eating so much beef. Paulie thinks it is the world's best food and his litter box always looks great *knock on wood*.

well i've been feeding duck for a few days, and her poops look good. they're light and a tad mucous-y.
i can get rabbit i think, i found an ad online selling feeder rabbits, so i might make my mom get some. i can pick up some mice and rats too, and see how she does on those.

If she is doing well on the duck keep feeding that. Then start to work in another protein a little at a time. Almost as if you were doing a diet switch. Since her poops seemed okay on turkey I'd try that next. Just mix a little turkey at a time into the duck. See how she does after a few days. Her poops Might get worse at first as she gets used to the new protein, but if she is not sensitive to turkey should level back out in a few days. If she responds well to that, then try removing the duck so she is getting only turkey. For some reason combinations of certain foods may be better or worse than certain foods on their own. The only way that you can tell is slow experimentation unfortunately. But at least now you have a start, and a meat that you can fall back on if she starts to go downhill on a certain meat.

i picked up some free samples of raw patties from tolden farms. tolldenfarms.ca/index.php it seems pretty good, so i think i might try them out to see if she does well on them. they have lamb, so i ordered a 4 pack. i got a beef botanical blend, contains: 89% double ground beef; 10% organ meat(heart, liver) botanical blend of seeds: roots and grasses consisting of ground black oil sunflower seeds, alfalfa, dandelion leaf, lemon grass, burdock root, oatstraw, parsley, red clover leaf, kelp, omega 3 cold water fish oil(herring oil); calcium carbonate. turkey and botanical blend contains: double ground turkey and bones; hearts, liver. botanical blend of seeds: roots and grasses consisting of ground black oil sunflower seeds, alfalfa, dandelion leaf, lemon grass, burdock root, oatstraw, parsley, red clover leaf, kelp, omega 3 cold water fish oil 18DHA 12EPA and beef and vegetable blend contains: double ground beef, hearts liver, romaine lettuce, dandelion leaves, collards, zucchini, sweet potato, carrots, kelp. omega 3 cold water, cold pressed fish oil(18:12) calcium carbonate. i was wondering what your take on these would be to try. I'm assuming the lamb has something like that in them. i think i'm going to try turkey or quail next, since that's what we have the most of right now... i think. ;D

she's off the antibiotics for two weeks, and then i call the vet and we discuss the poopies situation going on as well.
so she's been on duck for 2 weeks i think, and then two more weeks. so then i think i'm going to try something else. i'm just not sure yet.
any take on those patties?
