I'd worry that the uninformed masses would assume ferrets really eat people as the norm instead of in extreme cases of neglect.

I doubt people would conclude ferrets eat people. I can barely convince people that they are carnivores at all.

There is the odd news report here and there that says a ferret ate a baby's fingers, but having pets that eat people might be regarded more as an urban legend.

Definitely more as an urban legend Interesting fact - if an owner dies, a dog will wait until near starvation before eating the body. A cat would have no qualms eating it before it gets cold. I imagine the ferret would starve... Because they wouldn't recognize it has food

Ta-da! My final menu! It will vary a little, particularly the muscle meats since I have so much variety. But no more bone in grinds, except for the occasional kangaroo or buffalo meal.

Not diet related, however Bear & Will have passed a huge milestone! At first they hated each other! There was poop (Bear) and a sprained paw (Willy). However, I knew they could get along, as both are sweet & cohabitated before. (The song "you gotta keep 'em separated" comes to mind) Then they tolerated eachother. In the last few weeks I had taken time everyday to encourage them to share a food dish peacefully. This morning I cleaned their ears with olive oil, to return to them cuddling & Bear licking Willy's ears

Fed whole mice last night. Fredzia gobbled her whole mouse up in under 5 minutes & wanted more Bear & Willy I'm waiting out. I opened the mice stem to stern & removed the GI tract & put a little oil in. I awoke to mice butts stashed, so hopefully when I get home from work in a few hours there will be no mice left.

Nope! Not at all Let me pose you a few questions and we will see about it! 1. You have run out of heart, how much taurine supplement should your ferrets get? (be specific) 2. Your ferret's stools are loose/soft. What is this a sign of and how can you adjust to fix it? 3. How many meals a week should be organ, and of those meals how much needs to be liver? 4. How much and how often can egg be fed? 5. Why is cooking meat generally considered inadvisable?

1. I'm not off to a good start, lol. Tongue is my second go to if I have no heart. If I had to use a taurine supplement, I would use 500mg capsules, one in breakfast, one in lunch & one in dinner, for 5 ferrets. For 300mg per ferret/day.
2. Sign of not enough bone. Add additional bone in meals. (And check where the little stinkers have made their bone graveyard)
3. Three organ meals a week.; 100% heart; 50% heart, 25% liver, 25% kidney & 50% liver, 50% kidney. Therefore one meal half liver, and one meal quarter liver.
4. One egg, per ferret, per week. Except during shedding season, 2 eggs, per ferret per week.
5. Cooking meat alters & destroys the nutrients in it.
