Fans don't work for ferrets as they don't sweat. Can you freeze large containers of ice and put those in with her wrapped in a towel? I have plastic ice packs that I can do that for her. I use the fan to get the over all room cool. Are the ice packs okay to use?

They could well be stress related because of the heat.

They could well be stress related because of the heat. I was thinking so. I know my roommates puppy hes about 10 months old was acting a little funny today so I can only imagine the heat. Since its cooled down hes acting just fine. Like I said shes had two funky poops since the beef switch. Other than that shes had nice solid poops since I switched her its just these last couple hours when she pooped its been like that picture I posted earlier.

Put the wrapped ice packs in with her 24/7 right now. I often find mine laying right up next to the ice bottles when it is really hot.

Alright I will do that. Whens it hot and we are playing I also like to run some water on her to keep her cool as well. Not cold water but like a luke warm water. I will keep an eye on her poops as well.

So I know I am not an expert on poop like you are. But I would like to say that I like the look of this better than the green poopies. I think your right she was stressed with the heat. She hasn't eaten as much as I would like her to have but I also read that when ferrets are hot they don't eat as much. she still has eaten a good 5 maybe 6 ounces today.

Appetites definitely suffer in the heat. It takes energy to digest food, and that can increase body temps. So they eat much much less when hot

I think it was stress because this is the latest on poop patrol and it looks so much better honestly.

Her poop is brown and watery? She had a formed poop last night but that was the only one. Its still mucousy. But its brown not green so I think thats good right?

Watery poops can happen occasionally. If it is not a consistent thing it should be fine.

Absolutely you can use ground beef! If you can blend it, it can be made into a soup, no matter what it is! Hehehe
