I have some artificial crab leftover from a salad (a DELICIOUS salad) that I made last night. I have always wondered, and always forget to ask... is this okay to feed them?

I don't know the answer but I just wanted to chime in that it is made from fish but heavily processed, with salt and flavorings and other stuff. ask.yahoo.com/20030110.html

I think a taste would be ok, I wouldn't feed it myself. As Mikeybox stated it does have a huge amount of salt and it's heavily processed. ciao

Artifical Crab officially has the longest ingredient list of any food I've ever seen (I'm a serial label reader re: allergies and IBS) and I can't get over just how much junk they manage to cram into those little strips of meat. It's delicious and I use to love it but I can't eat it anymore because there are so many preservatives and seasonings that it makes my IBS goes crazy. I can't imagine it would be much better for ferrets.
Real crab might be okay?

Oh, not likely so good for Koda's IBD then, I'm thinking.

Oh, not likely so good for Koda's IBD then, I'm thinking. That's what I was thinking too. IBD and IBS have similar "trigger" foods for sure in humans, so I'm guessing that would extend to ferrets. From my experience anything processed, really fatty, seasoned, overally salty or with preservatives or things like MSG are major tummy upsetters in GI conditions.
