I've noticed the last two weeks Percy docks a lot more than he ever used to, he walks around my flat (looking for mischief) docking! I pick him up he docks, plays with his toys docks...
I'm not complaining, I'm just intrigued why he is docking so much more than he used too. He is one on 10th June and I have been working a lot lately so has had more cage time than normal, I let him out as soon as I get home for as long as possible...
Also he has worked out how to open my bedside drawers, well the bottom one and now the contents of the draw are hidden, he has also learnt if he climbs into my chest of drawers full of clothes it makes a great game to go from one draw to the other...
Ferrets really are such lovable rouges!

Is he altered? From the stories I hear from Heather about unaltered boys (hobs) they dook a whole bunch this time of year 'cause they're in season and looking for the ladies It might also just be the time of year - Percy waking up from the semi-hibernation state of winter. I know my girlies have been a lot more active the past few weeks, although they're always very quiet even when they're hyper. My first baby, Truffles, would dook to herself all the time, even when she was just wandering around sniffing things I'd hear a long string of quiet dooks, almost like someone humming under their breath as they do chores <3

Yes that is Percy he potters about making docking noises as though he whistling or humming under his breath!
He had his balls removed back at the beginning of April.

Oh, you meant dooking! Whew. I seriously thought this was going to be a thread about docking tails (amputating them for stupid esthetic reasons) and was quite horrified!

Percy is full of personality and has alot to tell you.
Ferrets make the funniest noises. They laugh hehehehehe, they hiss, they mutter, they dook, they chatter and they can even bark under certain conditions, such as fright.
Juliet honks and talks non stop. Roamy mutters Mika hisses alot and when she dooks, it's a low masculine dook. Wynstan is quiet but dooks sometimes. Keller is deaf and she has this tiny munchkin voice, but will get all excited and chitter/dook non stop.

He's probably just really happy to see you especially if you haven't spent as much time with him as you usually do so when he does see you he's probably super Happy. It alWays fun when they get over their baby stage and graduate to their mischief stage. Once they realize how to climb and move stuff you learn really quick to put stuff up high or it will get stolen!
