Looks like he really enjoyed himself! Out of curiosity, he looks like he might have some husky in him? I do know my huskies were terrible diggers if left alone in the yard They were also very good at looking "brain damaged" ;D

I have wondered if he has Husky. He can certainly run like one! I don't think I've ever managed to completely exhaust that dog. He also has that stubborn, independent streak sometimes seen in Huskies. He's very smart but very stubborn. And now that I think about it, he's very vocal with whines and howls like a Husky so it's entirely possible. His coat is very short though and doesn't seem to have the insulating properties of a Sib's coat. His coat is definitely more like a Doberman. He's a shelter dog so I don't know for sure what he is but people always give me weird looks when I say I think he's part Doberman. I suppose in the States most people haven't seen a Doberman with natural ears and tails but he very much resembles one in body type. Personally I think they're beautiful left natural. So maybe Husky and Doberman? His ears are down but with a fold and he can hold them up if he wants (he's pulling them back in most of these pictures though) so I figure he must have at least one breed with ears that go up and one breed with ears that hang down which would work with Husky and Doberman. Although my vet thinks he looks like he has German Shepherd and one lady who "knew a lot about dogs" insisted he was part Kelpie so who knows. He's too mixed up to know for sure lol

Yeah I make him carry his own water lol And he's got one of those collapsible bowls. Plus it helps to tire him out faster since he has seemingly unlimited energy. He actually really likes his pack. He gets all excited when he sees it because he knows it means a long walk is coming

Aw, how sweet. I'm sure he enjoys the exercise. So many dogs today don't get anywhere close to the necessary amount of exercise needed He has such sweet eyes. Reminds me of my bf's sister's pitbull Turk. He has those same sweet eyes. They make you melt. =)

He's so handsome and looks so healthy! I'm so used to seeing fat dogs at the park, it's nice to see such a healthy looking pup.

Yeah it seems like most of the dogs you see now days are overweight. But the really sad part is, the owners are so used to seeing overweight dogs, they don't realize theirs are overweight. They think that's how dogs are supposed to look. They see a dog that's not overweight and assume it's emaciated. The number one comment I get about Fenrir is how skinny he is.
At the dog park: "Which dog is yours?" *Points him out* "Oh the skinny one!" *Thinks to self* "No, the only one here that's the appropriate weight."
My mother is always insisting he needs more food and I'm like, "Would he have this much energy and muscle if he was starving?" The best was when we were at my aunt's house and he was sniffing at the candy bowl. We'd been on the road all day so he hadn't eaten yet that day and I mentioned that. She flipped out and was like, "Omg! Has he had water? I can get water for him." Apparently she assumed because he wasn't overweight and hadn't eaten yet that day that I wasn't caring for him at all.

So true. People expect pets to be obese. I think Fenir looks perfectly healthy
