Hi i recently aquired a female ferret and her vulva was swollen. i mated her with my hob two weeks ago and seen them do the act for like 3 times cause i left them together for 3 days. but yet her vulva is still swollen after two weeks since i am not an expert i cant say if it shrinked a bit though. is it normal that after two weeks from when she mates her vulva isnt completely back to normal size?

I'm tagging Heather and nancyl for you. They are both breeders and very experienced. They should be able to answer your questions for you.

Being lazy I'll copy & paste.
How long was she in heat before you put her with the hob? The longer they're in before mating the harder it is to get them out. They generally don't go down completely when they're pregnant. There will still be a little swelling. So, without knowing how she compares to pre-breeding it's a little hard to say what's going on.
Also, if the hob did not tie her (they tie like dogs) she was likely not stimulated enough to ovulate. Kailen tied Dara somewhere between 1 1/2 and 2 hours. I did not leave them together after they broke. So, she was only bred the one time. We are now at 2 weeks and she's starting to round out a little. I hope this doesn't mean a huge litter but her mama had 9 and Gramma Cybill had a litter of 13 the last time, so genetics are against me.
If she's still as big as she was I'd try them again and watch to make sure they get a good tie. If she's no longer in heat he probably won't even try to breed her and she'll kick his butt 8 ways to Sunday.
I realize you likely don't know how long the jill was in prior to breeding but it makes a difference. If she wasn't in long enough to have mature follicles she won't ovulate, even with the stimulation of breeding. If she'd been in a good while it will take longer for he to go out also. Timing's quite important with ferrets.

Does she get special and extra nutrition? not a breeder although there r some on forum who will know what to do to help make her healthier in this time. Also, I would give breaks from pregnancy ---as it is hard on themwhich would probably help as well. Maybe some will give you some professional advice today.

Did your jill produce milk? What extra are you feeding? What supplements are you using? Was the kits handled a lot after or during birth (some jills get very upset by this). Was there a possibility of cleft palate in the kits? Failure to thrive? I don't do back to back breedings but did you have the kits checked out by the vet (necropsied) or a breeder who might be able to help you figure out what went wrong? There are too many possibilities as to why the litter failed. Breeding ferrets it as difficult as keeping them healthy Are you the same person who started this thread? ciao
