My other furchild, a German Shepard named Spike, had to be emergency vetted today. We saw a small pimple on his back toe two days ago, and decided to keep an eye on it... it grew 3-4 times it's size in two days. We rushed him to the vet today... It is a tumor, and in a couple of days we learn if my my Baby has cancer. please pray for my boy, he's so sweet and an absolute lover. he's already powered through liver disease, being horrifically underweight when we got him, and multiple dental and stomach problems from a shitty kibble diet... This just can't be the end of the road for him... He's gotten through so much.

I have a German Shepherd too, and I've been in the same position, except with my other dog, a Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier. She had a tumor on her face, and they had to test it to see if it was cancerous. To our great relief, it wasn't. It was removed and hasn't grown back, but now yesterday she was diagnosed with kidney disease, due to a lifetime of eating Hill's Science Diet. So I totally know how you feel, and I am praying that Spike is going to be all right.

Poor Tiny still feels cruddy... No word from the vet still, and Puck just wants to attack and play with the drugged out Boy so we have to seperate them more than we usually do... I just hate how horribly he feels...

Spike has Lymphoma... Vet says it's manageable for now, but he won't last more than another year in all likely hood... We're devastated, but... This dog is my husband's special heart pet. Spike was the first animal he ever bonded with like this... I doubt he's going to recover from this news for awhile... I never thought I'd see the man I love cry like this... he slept in the dog bed with Spike last night.

oh, that is so sad. I am sure spike will enjoy all the extra attention he will be getting. Maybe you can come up with a bucket list for him. So very sorry.
