I am in Parkesburg PA and need a new ferret knowledgeable vet and one that also works with birds. Aardvark Animal Hospital is our vet ATM and due to what just happened don't trust them with my ferrets. My bf's bird had a sore in his mouth and stopped eating yesterday so he took him in. She put a swab in his mouth, he bit a piece off and swallowed it and she took way too long trying to get it out. Then after 2 hrs of sleeping and waking up and poking and proding. She finally realizes gee maybe I should go in and get it! Then gives him the med and he throws up, so she says I will have to get it Monday. WOW! Needless to say she gave him the med for the sore and said he has a slight cold, so didn't charge him for that or anything else.

Hi marcia, I would suggest checking out Lone Mountain Animal Hospital up in Summerlin, Las Vegas. I have not been there yet, but I think that'd be my best chance to get my fuzzies a blood glucose check or Deslorelin implant. Again, I have no personal experience with this animal hospital, but they get pretty good reviews on Yelp. Here is a link to their website: www.lonemountainanimalhospital.com/services/exotic-pets/.

Hi! I noticed you live in Vegas also. Would you ever be interested in meeting? Would love to know another ferret human.
