The kids are getting some chunkier meats, they seam to really like duck. Honey has taken to soupies very quickly and goes after the bowl for the other 5 and is eating the grinds and slivers as well. Luna is slowly eating more and more soup, before she would take about 1/2 tsp and this morning she ate a good oz. Honey has been really porking out and she is currently eating about 2-3oz of soup per meal, and the poo's OMG! NASTY! I will be very happy once they are detoxed properly lol.

I will be very happy once they are detoxed properly lol.You always forget how GROSS detox poops are until you have some detoxing again! Are they still eating anykind of kibble currently, since they are not eating large amounts of the soupy yet? I ask just simply because I want to make sure you know to wait at least 3 hours between raw and kibble meals for digestion reasons. Here is my weekly update Again, variety and balance looks okay. Are you increasing thickness and possibly adding slivers to the girls soupy yet? Weights and Activities

Sorry, I am a little OCD. I just like to see things line up and you have too many to remember! haha. Looks like we had good gains the first week and mostly loss the next. Jagger and Jack concern me a little on the amount of loss. You said Jack is blowing coat, that will contribute to that. Is it warmer there or anything else substantial? Bringing a new fert can cause stress too. I just, as a rule, don't like to see a 10% total loss in a weeks time. Jack is at about 15% and Jagger at about an 11% loss. Especially along with anything else like activities levels decreasing or loose stools or something else. Just something to think about it all

The girls are now getting some grinds added into their soup, the last 2 meals Luna has been eating lots 1-2 oz at a time. I have removed their Kibble as of Sun evening meal. This I think is Jacks first seasonal coat change, he still eats like a horse but is crazy active. Jagger was eating less I think he was feeling off for a couple of days, I had to put him on blockage protocol as he tried to eat the Octopus toy for some reason. It has been unseasonably warm here, actually record breaking, seasonal should be about 0-5 Celsius, and we have been at 10-15, even my rhododendron is blooming. Jack has been the most accepting of the new 2, he loves to climb in with them and fall asleep and he has put himself as Luna's bodyguard lol.

How is the lack of kibble going?? I am guessing the blockage protocol went okay with Mr. Jagger. We are really warm here too! I enjoy the warm weather because it means my poor tortoises can go back outside. They hate being cooped indoors. I look forward to seeing some more weights and see how they have been this week.

Sorry been really sick so I have been trying to stear clear of the fur kids and my daughter has be taking great care of them. I finally got their weights written down last night still need to sit and type it out. Luna and Honey are both eating slivers and chunks with the other 5, Luna and Honey are still socially awkward of the other 5 they scream whenever any of the others goes near them, I may have to convert my temp cage into a permanent one for them. Jagger didn't poop out any of the octopus toy just nice orange blockage poos, but better safe than sorry. Jack has picked up some weight again and Milo is now doing his coat blow out out too, again this will be his first seasonal coat change. They have all been eating well and the stink from Honey and Luna detoxing is much better, still there but much better. I am typing this at work on my coffee, missed a few days thanks to being sick and have a crazy few days coming up.
Meals: Feb 08-Feb 15 Sun Organs and Heart AM,PM Diced pork with chicken and eggshell powder Mon- MDF chicken with diced Duck AM-PM Tues- MDF Chicken AM-PM Wed- Soupie day Thurs- Diced Pork AM-PM with egg Fri- MDF Chicken with salmon oil AM_PM Sat- AM-Soup, PM chicken drumsticks, meat removed and cubed bones clevered in half.

Ok meal plan and weights for Feb 15-22 I am out of MDF Chicken so this week was complete frankenprey menu Sun AM Organs and Heart PM Chicken drum sticks, meat cubed bones cut in half, Milo and Jack faught over a whole bone so I cut it in half lol Mon AM-PM Pork meat dices with eggshell Tues AM_PM Duck and Chicken Diced with Egg Wed AM_PM Ground Pork with salmon oil and ground bison With eggshell Thurs AM Duck breast and egg PM Chicken Wings Fri AM-PM Pork slivers with heart and liver puree Sat AM_PM Pork and Duck with eggshell Weights Cyrano 29.35 oz Jagger 37.50 oz LouLou 28.01 oz Jack 44.30 oz Milo 51.80 oz Honey 29.81 oz Luna 30.30 oz Energy levels I would say are super amped up for all of them, they are starting to loose some winter fat and lots of shedding OMG the fur is everywhere lol, my fault for having 7 I guess. Luna and Honey are still antisocial, Luna is getting better being around the others but as soon as they try and play with her she screams and poops. Honey won't tolerate anyone but Milo and LouLou, even if I hold her in one hand and one of the others in the other hand she screams at them and they are not even touching. Going to bring out my old bigger cage and move Luna and Honey in there instead of my temp small, I call it sick cage. Luna and Honey are all for eating what everyone else gets, they have all moved into chopped or ground meats. All are taking pretty well to whole bone as well, Milo and Jack tend to fight over who has what lol. Luna and Honey are still having yellowish stress poos, been letting them out without the others so they can roam and play, I had Luna doing the war dance for the first time yesterday, was super happy with that. Honey plays very well and love the wonkies I made for them

Sorry been really sick so I have been trying to stear clear of the fur kids and my daughter has be taking great care of them. I finally got their weights written down last night still need to sit and type it out. No problem, we have been sick around here too. Glad you have some help so you don't have to get furr kids sick too! Luna and Honey are both eating slivers and chunks with the other 5, Luna and Honey are still socially awkward of the other 5 they scream whenever any of the others goes near them, I may have to convert my temp cage into a permanent one for them. Poor girls. I can't remember if you mentioned, but are they deaf? The screaming is just more common with deafies. Glad they are eating slivers though with the others, it's easier to have everyone on the same-ish page. Jagger didn't poop out any of the octopus toy just nice orange blockage poos, but better safe than sorry. Very true! Glad all is well there. Weights look okay, some losses. I will do another chart and see what the % look like. But since energy levels are good and you feel like winter weight is coming off, it is probably all normal. Luna and Honey are still antisocial, Luna is getting better being around the others but as soon as they try and play with her she screams and poops. Honey won't tolerate anyone but Milo and LouLou, even if I hold her in one hand and one of the others in the other hand she screams at them and they are not even touching. Honey plays very well and love the wonkies I made for them Introductions can be hard sometimes. It is all about patience and do diligence. Read some of @poncesmom thread about her introductions. The poops will get better, like the others did. Sounds like the pieces are good size and your variety is awesome.
I think we are coming to a point where your kids are doing what you want. Is there anymore goals you want to get them to or questions for me?

My main thing is to try and get the 7 of them to play together, I am dying to get a 7 fert pic of some sort and with Luna being 6, I just don't know how much time we will have with her, even though right now she is eating like a horse and is starting to play with me, no one else but 1 step at a time. I noticed Honey had a little cough today so I put a humidifier by the cage she may have caught a bit of what I had, but she was playing today so it's not slowing her down and I think she ate almost 2 oz of cubed pork in 1 sit. I love this program, and mainly wanted to earn my raw feeder label and a little piece of mind that I was going in the right direction lol, I did my best to figure it out and change them with lots of research before getting a mentor. I appreciate all your help and wouldn't change having that piece of mind with an experienced ferrent. Even though I have had ferrets for 18-20 years I have learned so much and upgraded my knowledge drastically with this forum. Thank you so much for everything and I am glad to have made a friend in the process!

Oh forgot to say yes Luna is deaf but honey can pick up some sound that or she is sensitive to loud noise vibration.

And switching Luna will hopefully make her have a few good years with you. You are doing so great for these babies. I think you get the idea down! I will post your final exam here soon. Don't worry, there's no time limit and all the items will either be things we went over or easy to find. The last thing will be for you to post a 'final menu' which is basically just proof that you know what your doing and can build a balanced week of meals (ie it doesn't necessarily need to be what you are feeding this or next week).

Final Exam:
1. List 2 good sources of taurine. 2. How can you tell if your ferret is getting too much or too little bone? 3. What counts as a "different protein source?" 4. List 3 organs aside from liver. 5.How many different proteins does a ferret need in a week at a Minimum? 6. How often on average does a ferret need to eat? 7. Are leaner meats better for your ferret or fattier meats?
Good Luck! (dance)

Ooo a test lol ok here we go
Final Exam:
1. List 2 good sources of taurine. (Heart and Tongue) 2. How can you tell if your ferret is getting too much or too little bone? (the solidarity of their poo) 3. What counts as a "different protein source?" (chicken, beef, lamb) 4. List 3 organs aside from liver. (brain, kidney, pancreas) 5.How many different proteins does a ferret need in a week at a Minimum? (3) 6. How often on average does a ferret need to eat? (twice a day) 7. Are leaner meats better for your ferret or fattier meats? (fattier meats)
Got confused about #3 but I think I got it lol. I usually think of a different protein source like eggs, beans and nuts lol
