Hi, My name's Mandy, 38 from Derby in the U.K I used to keep ferrets but was ferretless for the last 10 or 11 years. That all changed a couple of days ago when I adopted a 2 year old fitchet hob from a chap who didn't have the time to devote to him that he thought he deserved. I've named the ferret Freca and he is such a sweetie, he is still entire and has the sweetest temperement. He is confident and relaxed around people and is unfazed when my dogs are milling around his run (he lives outside). He got used to dogs with his previous owner who hunted with him over the past winter. He was fed a mixed raw diet by his former owner (I could tell even if I hadn't been told, his teeth are fantastic) and I am carrying on with this, my two dogs are fed raw so I'm fairly used to this method of feeding, I'm just finding out more about tailoring what I know to meet a ferrets specific needs. Hopefully I'll be able to get some photos of him soon. I've not had chance to check out much of the forum yet but I love what I have seen, such a great site.

If you're feeding raw, here's a great UK website I came across, they have lots of choice and their ground meats have 10% bone and 10% organ in them already. rawtogo.co.uk/default.aspx
