No it's Mia who is going that long between meals. Her BG is fine and so is her energy level.

Oh! Sorry. She should still be fine, as long as she has food you know she'll eat in the cage she can self regulate.

I'll just keep watch on her. I'm tracking how much both girls are eating.

More than one...but it's like the skin from the thighs. I have used chicken breast and she doesn't seem to like those chunks, but I bought some thighs with skin and she loves it! So thighs with skin from now on for my girls!

Yep! They usually like thighs more because it's fattier meat that's higher in taurine. If she's eating chunks consistently you can probably make the switch over to just chunks.

I'm going to start throwing in thigh chunks and see how they both handle that. Chicken breasts are definitely done here ☺

Well Bella's BG is not getting better...I took it today before her first feeding of the morning and it was 1.7 (30.6) and I took it again 2 hours after her feeding and it was 2.4 (43.2) I have spent the day feeding her every 3 hours. I also decided to start giving her the pred 3 times/day instead of 2. Instead of 0.3 twice/day I'm giving her 0.2 every 8 hours. I feel that she is going to need her pred increased. I'm going to try 3 times/day and see if that makes a difference. I'm going to call my vet tomorrow and see about increasing her pred. I'm also going to get up every 4 hours throughout the night to make sure she eats. I just want her to get better

She's also not eating her 4 to 5oz per day, so far since 5:15 this morning she has eaten 2.8oz

I'm sorry she's not progressing as well as you'd hoped. Fingers crossed for good news from the vet tomorrow! Have you progressed to all chunks? If you have she may just be being a little stubborn (which isn't a concern as long as she IS eating). They also don't need to eat as much when you get to chunks because some of the weight in soup is the added water, if that makes sense.

Thank you Rachel. I will make sure to let you know what happens with the vet.
I'm not at all chunks yet, but they are both progressing well, but I know for sure if I just put chunks in their dish, Bella wouldn't eat it unless I fed her and even then it would be a slow process. I'm happy with how things are moving along, they went from not eating any chunks at all to eating some now.
I got back out of bed because it's almost time to get her to eat, then I'll be good until 5am
Do you think I should continue to get her to eat every 3 hours or should I go to 4 hours?
