I love my quality cage mansion actually. It is huge! 36"w x 20"d x 60"h And I like the little wall things that guards the lofts so they can't fall off of a shelf The doors aren't double doors like the fn, but they are still huge, I could climb inside if I really wanted to. Litter boxes slip right in and out. It was really fun for me to put together, and not hard at all (they also come assembled, but that was way too much for me) It came with a litter box, water bottle, food dish, toy, three beds, and something else... But I don't remember what It has 7 doors on it, which I love!! The ONLY thing I could complain about, is having to cover the shelves so their feet don't get caught. But thats not even a complaint for me. I had fun finding what looked the best, and what would be safest/most effective. My cage when I first got it together The top section now Part of the middle section I'm not going to post the bottom because there isn't anything in it right now. All my stuff fits in the top two untill I get my dig box and that is going on the bottom.

Ahh neat Shawnie, thanks for sharing. It did look interesting. Is it by Super Pet or did you steal the nametag thingie for the cage? If that is a Super Pet I have some complaining to do... how can they make horrid ones like the one I had AND something like that? Yeah it needs a ground covering instead of wire mesh, but compared to the lime green and purple one, that thing is so much better quality.

I've had the same Quality cages for going on 13 years now, and I wouldn't have anything else. The main reason I like it is the walls on the partial shelves, so the ferrets are safe from falling. And they're incredibly sturdy...after many moves, the only damage is some rust on the wire from the monthly bleach cleanings. I did have Kritter Koncepts make me one last year of a similar design, thinking I could save some money, but it didn't even come close to a Quality cage. As it turned out, I couldn't even use it because of the horrible wire odor after more than a year. I finally gave up and donated it to a local wildlife rescue.

I've had several of the superpet cages and I will never use them again, nor suggest them to anyone.. I won't even sell my old ones to people because I wouldn't wish them on anyone.
Yes, I hate them that much.
Since I've had my FN, I just don't think I can see myself using anything else. There's not really many ways they can improve on the FN, imo. The new 18X versions sound interesting, lighter and easier assembly sounds promising but I wonder about their durability?
Regardless, I love my FN 142 and would not trade it for the world.

I decided to get an FN after many years of ferret owning. Well now I have three. I cannot pass up a cheap FN. They are just so worth the money its crazy. I have no issues getting into the deepest corners or moving things around because the doors open all the way. Its awesome. Its sturdy, and just so huge. I love my FNs

I personally ADORE my FN. I'll NEVER have another cage for ferrets EVER. I have a bad back and arthritis and with how easy it is to clean I just couldn't do anything else. Hands down FN. The big doors that swing wide open and the pans that just slip out make it SO easy to clean.

I used to have many Martins cages, mostly 3 story and it was always a hassle to change out bedding and to clean! The FN changed our ferret world totally..It does have a couple drawbacks like the shelf problems they have had but all in all it is the best cage we have had so far. We added a 6 th # 142 cage just 3 weeks ago..

But the FN is awesome for people with physical difficulties like me. I can get it cleaned quick and easy with minimal strain on my back. I personally REALLY want to get another one to make a double wide. The only down side is how much it will cost me to make matching bedding for a double wide. Maybe since I have boys and girls I can do like Jess (fearless) and do one side like for a girl and the other for a boy. This is the cage i built when I just had Miko.

Yeah the FN is well worth it. I don't have any complaints. My kids love it, I love it, and my husband is satisfied with the price we paid. There's just not enough I can say about it.

Hubby and I just ordered the 182. I'll let everyone know how I like it. Never had a 142 for comparison, but my dad does have the 143, modified tho it is, I should still be able to tell the differences.
