I'm so sorry! She was a beautiful ferret. You gave her a wonderful life for those two years you had her and you both fought so hard. She doesn't have to fight anymore and she can dook in peace.

So sorry for your loss. Just know she is no longer in pain and can play again. You will see her again someday.

Thank you for your kind words everybody. I miss her so so much, it's so hard to make that call but I know it was the right thing to do... she will always hold a special place in my heart.
Caillou is very sad and misses her, he keeps looking for her everywhere the comes to me and asks where she is. I wish I could explain to him what happened. He's chewing extremely, on everything and won't stop. Started last night.. I feel so sorry for him.
The hardest part, was that I really was sure I had more time with her. I had no idea her cancer had progressed so quickly. Me and Katt were thinking she probably developed Lymphoma and it took over her entire body, 3 cancers in a year, blind and deaf. She was a fighter, she stashed her pain as she stashed her favorite toys.. my poor baby.
I need prayers and wishes for Caillou, that he pulls through and finds his happiness again after he grieves.

Even when you know they are sick, and you have time to prepare yourself for the inevitable loss, you can tell yourself your ready, you can be strong, the moment they are gone, you cant help but ball your eyes out, 2nd guessing your every decision. I have been there. It is not a pretty sight seeing a 270lb grown man balling his eyes out.
There no feeling like the loss of a ferret. It hurts like nothing I have ever felt before. At that moment you tell yourself it is not worth this much pain, but after the pain subsides and you think back to all the precious moments, and the unconditional love they give and you know it is so worth it.
My little sable Bandit went from playing to sick to crossing the bridge in just one short month. started out with Insulinoma, a month later it was lymphoma.
They will always hold that special place in your heart.

I had done this twice before, 3 times now, but there is no preparing.. I knew Juliet was sick and I knew she didn't have a lot of time, but youre completely right, there is no "ready" when it comes to it. It never hurts any less.. even knowing you did everything you could for them and being the best ferrent you can be, it's still the most terrible feeling. The sad thoughts do fade.. I look back at my last 2 and laugh at all the fun times we had, not yet there with Juliet though.

I know I haven't been on long but I still feel really bad for you & your other 'kids'. I had tears reading some of your other posts so I can only imagine what you are going through. I don't know if this could work for you in comforting your others [and you maybe too]...on occasion I put Bear in my 'sports top' under my shirt and he loves it. (the other two don't unless they are tired) Just a thought to try? It's warm & I can lay with him or walk around, holding with one arm. It sounds like they are so sad too. I'm sorry. Talk to you soon. ((hug)) -Jodi I know you have seen this before but it was a comfort recently when we had to say goodbye to my mom's 14 yr. old dog. I hope it is to you as well.

Sweet Juliet, you were so Loved and will be so Missed. Emily, my Heart goes out to you. You know and I know, how much you Loved her. You and Juliet fought so hard. I can only hope that you will find comfort in remembering the good times and the Joy that you brought to your Juliet and that Juliet brought to you.
