So I bought an old entertainment center at a garage sale, and I turned it into a ferret cage. I'm pretty happy with it, but there are a few things I would do differently next time. There is tile on the floor in the bottom area to make it easy to clean, and the top area has a base board wrapped in cloth, which can be removed and cleaned. I made the red hammocks, too! I just realized that I forgot to clean the litter boxes before taking photos, sorry about that. Here are some photos, if I upload them incorrectly or there are too many please let me know When I bought it. Finished, except I decided I am going to repaint it. Inside the top. Tunnel going down. Inside the bottom.

Thank you! It's worked out great so far. My two babies have been in there for three days. It's easy to clean and they love how dark the lower area is!
Once you have the furniture piece, it's mainly adding the hardware cloth(wire) and making the doors that takes the most time. It was a lot easier than I expected.
