I am thinking of having my future ferrets indoors or at least having an indoor cage as well as an outdoor cage. I can't find a ferret nation anywhere in the UK but can find a critter nation, which if I'm right has smaller bar spacing and slightly different measurements. Would a double critter nation be okay for a night time/winter/hot summer days cage? Does anyone have the exact measurements of the cage, online I have found 90cm to 99 cm. Not very helpful. I am trying to see if it would fit into an alcove in the living room (currently occupied by a gerbil cage which could be moved).

This is a critter nation, it's lodged between two ferret nations so you will be able to see the difference between the two types of cages. I've pulled the covers back so you can see the two connecting cages. To be honest, the critter nation would not handle more than 2 ferrets....maybe 3 if they're tiny jills ciao

To me the critter nation you have looks the same as a ferret nation single? Am I wrong? I am looking at a double critter nation, apparently it is very similar in size to a ferret nation double but slightly different by a few CM. Would you mind measuring the front of your critter nation (from where it is connected to the ferret nations on either side). I need the exact width to see if it will slide into the alcove, I don't mind if it is too deep and slicks out but it's no good if it won't fit in at all.
Hope that has cleared up my first post.

Thank you, I never thought to look at their actual website... Silly me! It seems amazon just likes to vary the size a little depending on which seller it's from.

So we have decided a Critter Nation is the way to go, but not where we planned on putting it. We would rather keep Fudge (our gerbil) where she is, plus the cage is about 5cm too wide.
So the ferrets will go in my sisters room (I'm sure she won't mind haha) infact I still need to ring her and ask if she wants to come pick them out with us when we go. She's at my parents during the week but spends a lot of weekends and school holidays here, we are very close. We are looking at adding a playpen but not sure how well it will fit and with prices and things that may go on hold. So how many ferrets can I happily fit in a ferret nation? I would settle for two, but think I would prefer to have 3 (or really pushing it with my OH to stretch to 4). Could 3 live happily in there? They will come out to play every day, how long will depend on how well they get along with my dog but a minimum of an hour in the house and a few hours in the room. Day to day I don't think that the difference will be massive in cost, but I'm fairly happy that if all 3 got ill I could afford it. Initial space is my only concern. In the summer we hope to build them a shed with run and link it into the house to a cage we will build under the stairs.
