I have issues with the search function... Tried searching for it on the forums but came up with nothing. Usually my searches end up with no results, even on words/phrases I know are there...
Anyway, I am looking for a new cage and was looking at the Marshall Estate. Anyone have this? Comments, issues?

Do you change the time frame on the search results? It's automatically set to only look at posts within the last week. That's tripped me up before.
As far as the Estate, I've heard it's just what it looks like... a cheaper Ferret Nation. I personally would (and did!) spend the extra money on the FN, but if I came across a used Estate for a good deal, I probably wouldn't turn it down.

I've always wondered this too. From what I've heard people with it says its not as stable and a bit cheaply made. Plus I think its all wire, it doesn't have pans like the fn

Hmm... so the Feisty Ferret is probably nicer? Major sticker shock on the FN. Even thinking on making a custom cage... Love the style of some bunny hutches out there. But I really have no workspace right now... >_<

I.originally planned to make a nice big cage made out of grid wire storage cubes but I caved and decided to get a ferret nation

The feisty ferret cage doesn't have enough floor space and is a bit dangerous with the missing middle level.

But you could probably rig up some additional shelves in the feisty ferret. After that though it would probably add up to the cost of a fn

Yea the pictures are really confusing to me on the feisty ferret. I saw a review that said something about wire shelves, and the way the ramps look they just seem to connect to nothing at all. I can't tell if there is a center floor or not. The more I look at the Marshall's though, the more I think it's the same as the FN. In either case you would want to use a fabric cover. I can make those. Either way, I've been using the same 5' tall Super Pet Care Home for 6 years, ANYTHING would be an upgrade on ease and stability. It's like this one: www.superpetusa.com/product-list/care-home-multifloor-with-stand-discontinued.htmI dunno. I guess I just have to make a choice. I was just wondering if anyone had any big issues or great raves about the Estate. I know the FN is great but yikes... the pricing...

There's no middle floor in the feisty ferret, the two ramps actually lead into eachother. Meijer sells the ferret nation for $179.99 and the feisty ferret is $169.99 so that's only a %10 difference, and by the time you rig up and extra shelf to makevtge feisty ferret safer, then you'd be paying more money. Even if you got the fn at $199.99, that's still only $30

I'm 5'5" tall. I have to reach up to the top of the FN. The Feisty Ferret, I can look over the top of easily ;D

Oskimosa, have you tried posting a wanted ad on Craigslist? I'm not sure where you're from but in the US it's a popular classifieds place? Canada as Kijiji. Anyways, I did that and I got a couple hits. In the end I just spent the extra $50 and bought one from Amazon for $200 USD (free shipping) it's so worth it. I too was looking at the Marshall Estate. I found a good video on You Tube, it seemed ideal if you can't afford the FN. I would choose the Marshall one over the Ferret Fiesty cage.

Here's an actual size comparison of the Feisty and FN: Also, the Feisty does not have double doors; only one side opens. I wouldn't trade my FN for anything. Worth every penny. Shop around until one goes on sale!

Fearless, I almost posted an ad last night but didn't when Craigslist wanted to text a code to my phone. I didn't want to confirm the account and link it to my phone, so I backed out of the ad. I mist still do it.
That's a BIG difference, Keri. And ?!? Only one door opens!?? Definitely not going with the feisty ferret then.
I checked for some videos online but didn't see any for anything but the FN. I wish some of the pet shops carried them so I could look in person! All the pet shops have it listed as online only. I guess I could try and return it if I don't like it...
