What kind of litter is safe for my ferrets to use? I'm going to the pet store in a bit. And I read one of the threads about multi cat clumping well and being less expensive but I'm not sure what that I ever is. I Google it and it said arm and hammer multicat and scoop away multicat.. I'm lost :/

Clay clumping litter isn't good, but natural ones (like Swheat scoop or worlds best) are. I prefer unscented, too.

Petsmart has exquisicat naturals paper and that is $13.99 for 25 pounds. Anything that is Natural paper pellets is great!

Absolutely no clay clumping litter and nothing with silicone on it. Anything that's natural or made of wheat or corn is okay, paper pellets like exquisite and yesterday's news are okay, and clumping litters such as Worlds Best, Blue buffalo walnut based and Swheat scoop are all good brands. I use world's best advanced natural, it tracks less than swheat scoop and doesn't stick to the bottom like blue buffalo does. It is kid a pricey, at $17 for a bag, it lasts me 3-4 weeks for my two ferrets though.

I just read sherry's post on litter training so I'll have to make a litter box out of something

U can cut a hole in a sterilite container or one of those rubbermaid totes so that it is easy for them to get in and out of. I would make it square. Or you can get them online or at some pet stores made like that.
