I haven't started feeding whole prey yet, but say I started feeding a rotation of chicken, quail, rats, mice, and guinea pig on different days. Then say guinea pig day rolls around and the guinea pig weighs enough to be two days worth of food. What's the process for cutting it in half and saving one half? Would it be ok to feed only half of a guinea pig one day being that the ferret wouldn't get the heart one of the days making the meal "un"whole?

As long as you feed the whole thing within a week, their weekly menu will still be balanced.

I threw a whole large rat in and it was fine for 2 days. It despite what people say about rats did not stink. They ate all the entrails and everything and only left the tail
