(copying my post from FH 'cause I am being lazy :
Hello, My name is Sonia. I am 21, currently residing in Illinois but will be moving to Florida in about a month. (Also, tips for that long drive with ferrets would be VERY helpful
My boyfriend, Richard, and I adopted two little boys almost 2 weeks ago. Our original intention was to get two from a shelter, we have look at all the ones we had near us, which were pretty far but we were very willing to make the drive. In our preparation to get them we went to the local pet shop to pick up some toys and other odds and ends. No intention of getting ferrets (didn't even think they had any)
We were walking back to where the small animal supplies were and I passed an aquarium and I seen a mound of fur in a corner. I asked the one thing I knew I shouldn't have, I asked if we could hold them. The moment she handed me the first one, I gave my boyfriend the puppy-dog eyes.
We were given about 2 hours before the store closed to think about it. We went home, got the carrier and were back withing 30 minutes.
I would like to Introduce you to Beaumonte and Cecil
Beaumonte is the one eating(plan on getting them to go raw once we are down in Florida) and Cecil is playing with the water (he loves a pan of water) on the way home.
Beaumonte on the left and Cecil on the right. (I'm still not very good with the colors and patterns if anyone can help.)
Although you can't really see it, Cecil(left) is about 2-3 inches shorter than Beaumonte(left) and is just overall more tiny compared to him.
I hope to avoid pet stores from now on, while I wouldn't mine a houseful of the little buggers(which I can see I will one day ;D ) I need to get used to just having two.
