I got cue and mego from a friend that rescued them and had too many pets.
Ted showed up one day - it was find him a home or he was to be put down,and my roommate was NOT going to let that happen.
I had three ferrets pass this year
- two i knew were sick,one i had since a baby (T.J.) - this really broke my heart - the third was totally unexpected. Poor Mego lost 3 play buddies - he needs company and I got Cocoa off craigslist. Cocoa looks just like T.J. this was about the third week in FEb. Well he is young and energetic so he maybe one more. Another ad on craigslist for a female - hmm I havent had one in a few years. The ad was a couple weeks old so I emailed and she was still available. I picked her up a few days before easter and they knew nothing about ferrets 
- she was a b-day present for a 12 yr old (that didn't have time to take care of it) and she was hardly let out of the cage and they didn't have A/C - it gets hot in the summer. They told me she was about a year old 
I am starting to doubt this her teeth are sharp.
I wish I could have filmed her meeting the boys - she dooked non stop. The boys just followed her around and licked her neck and butt and dooked - and finally she HISSED - she ran away stopped and turn around and hissed again when a boy got close - ran away dooking 
and then hiss . Everone settled down and I put her food out (the ferrets have their own room), and she hisses at anyone who gets near her when she is eating. I play tug with her and she dooks - this is a first for me - to have such a vocal ferret. My ferrets usally only dook with each other.

I'm so sorry about all your losses this past year. That would be heartbreaking
