Sooo my birthday is coming up. I'm going to be 20 yay!! I found an ad for a ferret on craigslist and my boyfriend says he wants to get her for me for my birthday.... She's a little 2 year old sable and I would be her 3rd home. I'm going to go see her Sunday and kind of just see how things go, but it looks like I might be bringing another baby home... wow ferret math. Oh and if anyone's concerned I only go to school 4 days a week and I get out pretty early most days so I have plenty of time with the fuzzies.

The lady that has her now says that she's pretty playful so I'm hoping that Marco will like playing with her. I'm not sure why her first owners gave her up, but this lady said that her other ferret was diagnosed with cancer and only has 3-6 months left. She got this little female to keep him company so he wouldn't be lonely in his last days, but she says that they don't get along so well and the girl just wants to play while her other ferret is just too tired to do anything. I'm sure I'll find out more about her tomorrow though.

Have you met any friends at school with ferrets? The poor little sick one. See if she is willing to join the forum and maybe we can offer some help for the little one. At least some help in making the little boy more comfortable and guiding him towards a Gentle Journey.

One of my friends has a roommate with a ferret and we're supposed to meet up sometime this week, but I'm kind of nervous. My friend told me that this girl's pretty opinionated and might try and tell me how to care for my ferrets... I'll be sure to write down the forum address and tell her to stop by

A. Happy Birthday! (dance) 2. I hope the new fuzz works out. and D. You're a member here, so you have about the best resource there is for ferret care. It would be nice if your friend's room mate stops in.

I definitely tell all ferret owners I know about the forum, but I think they're a little intimidated by raw feeding. I have so many people tell me how soft and not stinky my ferrets are though. The proofs in the pudding!
Thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes! Its not until the 7th, but I'm still very excited!

We went to see her today and brought her home! She's a teeny little thing, but she's also quite the spitfire. We've named her Eris after the goddess of chaos and strife. She seems healthy, but she does have a patch of hair missing on her tail. I think she might be overgrooming or something. I'll post some pictures once I'm home!
