Does anyone here shop at Petco and know if they have live or frozen feeder mice?
Roughly how much do they cost?
Do they have frozen pinkies?
I'd imagine they keep some frozen on hand for the reptiles they house, but do they sell it?
Anyways any information on this would be great as I'd like to feed Jude and Zoey some live mice and pinkies and eventually work our way up to other stuff, however, I don't know many places within an hour that would have live or frozen whole prey.

Petco usually carries frozen mice. They are pricey. They are usually in the back near the aquarium stuff. They have pinkies, hoppers, adults. Not sure if they have any other sizes here.

Also, check out American rodent supply. They don't have as good prices on the prey, but some places get free or cheap shipping.

Hare Today doesn't sell feeder mice do they? Rodent pro would probably be your best bet, you could get more feeder options but shipping is pricey, it is actually cheaper than buying most locally though. Petco's frozen feeder mice are very expensive, you can also throw a want ad on craigslist or check fauna classifieds feeder section, you might find a reptile person near you with some.

Postal, that's a great find! They are quite far but I sent them an e-mail to see if they could do a special delivery once every couple of weeks or something.
Roughly they are comparable to Hare Today as far as pricing, however, Hare Today has more variety. I'm hoping maybe they know someone atleast close that has live.
I can order frozen though, looks like they are decent on orders, seems everywhere I go it averages about $60-$70 cheapest I've seen yet when shipping is included.

Even if you have to ship it from that Colorado place they could probably do ground since it would only be 1 or 2 days to get there, as far as live, have you considered picking up a couple and breeding yourself? I breed my own mice because feeders here were like $4 a mouse and that is nuts. Just depends if you need enough to make it worth it, I'm feeding the ferrets, a cat and a snake for less than it would cost me just to feed the snake buying locally.

Hmmm... I could breed my own, not sure how the hubby would feel about it or where I'd put them so my daughter doesn't get to them.
Does it cost much to breed your own? How long after they are born do you feed them to your ferrets? How many do they have in a litter?

There is a board in the natural feeding section dedicated to raising prey. I'd post links but I'm on my phone There are a question great stickies that will probably answer most of your questions

I'm over there now. How long does it take the average mouse from conception (or assumed conception) till they have babies?

Not sure about how long pregnancy takes... I know mice can have babies relatively young.
