I have soup made and it is in my freezer, and I'm wondering if there is a particular amount of time I am supposed to keep it frozen for? I feel like I vaguely remember something saying to keep it frozen for 2 days to "kill any parasites" but I have done some research that has said that freezing doesn't do anything but keep it from going bad. Is this true? Should I leave it in the freezer for another day or can I try and give it to my ferret tomorrow morning (it's been in the freezer since about 5:30 PM)? I am very anxious and excited to start switching my baby to raw, but I really want to make sure that I don't hurt her by giving her bad meat or something!

The only meat you need to worry about freezing for parasites is wild caught Grocery store meat is just fine to feed fresh.

Thank you so much! In that case I will give it a try in the morning. (dance)
