This morning I fed the guys mice. Raphael was stealing Zephyrs, sticking it in the corner then eating his. ( Ifeed them in the bathroom). Zephyr kept taking hers back, or I would give it to her and the scene kept repeating. He would try and steal it while she had it in her mouth and they were playing tug of war. At one point she got really pissed while they were both tugging at it and I bent down to break it up. Raphael did a head shake and mouse intestines came flying up and landed right in my hair. I headed off to the shower.
He also just learned how to go up and down the basement steps, much to my horror. If he hears me going down there he likes to try and beat me down the stairs so he can attack me when I get down there. Usually while I'm carrying a full laundry basket.
Oh and yesterday he found a new way out of the house. The three of them were playing in their tubes in the living room and I decided to run and pick up my chicken order. I was gone 20 minutes tops. When I come in the house and was walking past one of the windows I see a ferret running through the yard, go out of the fence and into the sticker bushes by the pond. For a second I stand there looking going WTF. No doors were open or anyway that I could think he could have gotten out. ( I was starting to think he has a secret teleporter ). So I run out in my shorts and flip flops to retrieve my ferret from the sticker bushes and poison Ivy. On the way back I see it. The window screen was lying on the ground. The family room window was open and he climbed up on the futon and pushed the screen out. (Not a very secure screen obviously). And the first thing he did when I brought him back in the house was run right back to that window! Bad, bad, bad!
I do have two other very nice females that are very well behaved. They are a blessing. Raphael is just lucky he is just so darn cute and funny. He always has the look of "who me?" on his face. LOL!
