When I get my babies I wanna dress them up in hoodies when I take them for walks, cause its cute and so they don't catch a chill my question is, how do you pull off wearing a hoodie AND harness? Do you put the harness on over the hoodie? Or put the harness on first and make a small slit in the top of the hoodie for the leash to pull through?

I would put the harness on first, then cut a hole. If you do it the other way around, they will have slack to get free.

Agree with Fearless. You must post pics of your kids when you get them!

That's odd, I thought it was gonna be the other way. I was thinking the harness would be tighter and harder to get out of because of the hoodie in between and if the harness was a little big the hoodie would fill it out. You've proved me wrong

Most kids can slip out of the clothing. The design of the harness usually prevents the ferret from escaping, so putting that on first will keep the ferret from slipping out, and the clothes over it to dress them up. The clothes design is not ferret proof, so putting it on bottom would allow them to slip out easier Which isnt good

what brand of harness is best? Which adjusts the most/easiest? I know h style is best but any specific brand? I was kinda looking at the premier 5-1 on ferret.com anyone have any experience with that one?

I just use h- style harnesses. Not sure of the maker.

My old ferrets had the 5 in 1, it worked well. I actually just placed an order of two today for the Premier 5 in 1 on ferret.com I don't think anything has changed, but I'll let you know how it goes when I get them. I've only heard good things and the ratings and reviews on ferret.com were good.

I use the premier 5-in-1 harness (available at some petsmarts and ferret.com). I havent had any issues with escapees yet (knock on wood!)

Ok good the 5-1 is the one that most appealed to me. A bit off topic, how good are the petco brand hammocks? I love the animal prints but I don't wanna buy a flimsy hammock

don't know about the Petco hammocks...the one, well actually it's a cube, is a Marshall product and so far it's held up pretty good considering I am currently owned by 11 ferrets! As for harnesses I use a H style type...

I had one. Lasted about a year before one of the straps broke (though I was really rough with it and threw it in the dryer). I have a cuddle cup hanging bed now that's going strong. Don't know who makes it, but the straps on this are think (3/4 inch all black) and are adjustable. All 3 of Mine stuff into it
