What types of fish do you feed your ferrets and are the bones safe?

Do a search on the forum. This is a very common question.

I tried to earlier but the search wasn't working for me. Probably because I'm on my phone. I'll try later from my computer. I just figured I'd ask while I was at the store. They were having some pretty amazing sales haha

I feed quite a few different fishes, smelts, salmon, whitefish to name a few and yes I feed bones as well. If the bone seem particularly sharp or large I will remove them but they seem to handle them easily ciao

Awesome, thank you I was just worried about the little bones and wasn't sure. I'll try some of those.

Don't feed anymore than about once a week. I use it as a novel protein. Ferrets seem to develop a fishy odour as does their litter box if you feed too often. Minks have fish as a primary protein but ferrets are more into furry type meats ciao

I use to buy Whole Life Cod for mine, who just loved it. It was a freeze dried raw product. My Roamy loves raw shrimp. I also just bought some smelt, that Sherry suggested. I haven't tried to offer it yet. I have a kiddie pool for my four and I'm going to put the smelt in and let them "fish".
